Howdy! I am fourteen years old. I have loved horses all my life, and I have been around them since I was seven. I have four horses (technically three of them are ponies), and only one of them is trained; she is a fourteen year old quarter horse mare. According to her previous owner, she used to barrel race. I would like to barrel race with her, but I am more ionate for English riding. I am not a trained rider. I stick to the walk and trot, and I ride without a bit.

What can I do to be more confident when lunging my mare?
