Yesterday and today I rode Marley. She still kind of struggles turning left, but has made a major improvement with the new snaffle. I'm so proud of her

I rode her around in the field next to my house, near the not very busy road(in the ditches) in front of house, and on the dirt roads. She still eats the grass here and there unfortunately. I have no idea how to correct this :anguished: Yesterday wasn't all that great but today's ride was amazing! Marley was very forward. She has pumped up days and her lazy days. Lucky for me, she wanted to go today  She even trotted two small circles for me. She doesn't really like circles for some reason...she always slows down to walk but not today. Hopefully she'll be good for our lesson this week!

Enough with my horse's progress (I can't help it guys. I'm just really proud of her). Today during my ride, I have no idea where or when she got them, but she had stickers all over her legs :sob: My poor girl!

I pulled some off of this leg before I took the picture.

For correcting the grass eating, you could try just holding the rein tight when she puts her head below a certain point. With my horse my rein is loose when his head is at a normal spot but as soon as he dips his head far down he feels the pressure on the bride. It’s like a rope halter corrections . It allows the horse to correct themselves and provided instant release.

Poor horse! I know I hate when I have burrs all over me, and I imagine horses don't like it any more than we humans do!

If the stickers r removed right when they're found...the horse will be fine as long as the skin isn't punctured. But those were little burrs...they were mainly just stuck in her leg hair...not her skin.
