Chapter Five

"Zed? Check!" Jhin exclaimed.

'You're in a good mood.'

"Of course I am. I just easily ridded one of my more elusive targets on my list. Why wouldn't I be?"

'Oh, I don't know. Maybe because now the Order of Shadows & The Dark Sovereign may be hunting us down as we speak?'

"I'm not worried about them. They'll have to figure out my next move for that but I don't plan on staying here for too long, dear friend. I just have one more thing to take care of here that they won't see coming," Jhin replied while a sly smile crept upon his face.

'And what, pray tell, would that be?'

"It's a surprise."

"Sona! That was a another fantastic show!" her manager cried out, praising her.

"As usual," smiled Lestara.

Sona plucked a few strings of her etwahl, making it chime happily, with a big smile on her face as she made her way to her dressing room. Another successful concert.

   "You always did enjoy playing your heart out," said Lee Sin as he came into the room.

The look on Sona's face became brighter. Lee was such a dear friend of hers and he ed her greatly as she did him. The two both aided the other since the pair had their own ailments. Lee with his voice while Sona with her eyes. Sure, Lee was good at getting around on his own but he occasionally still bumped into things while Sona normally wrote things down for people to understand her but only few knew what she says just by her plucking the etwahl' strings.

       "Ah, Lee. It's been a while. How've you been?" Asked Lestara, knowing Sona would ask that herself if able.

   "I've been well. I just wanted to say hi before I go off on business," he replied.

   Sona plucked her strings to make a more confused sound, as if asking what business he had.

Lee hesitated for a moment.

"The Golden Demon has shown his face once more," his tone was grave.

   The room felt as if the air was sucked out of it. They had heard stories of Jhin's tirades throughout Valoran. He was rather infamous. Sona recalled hearing of him when she was younger; before she ever began performing. Lestara ed the countless nights before Jhin's capture where Sona could not sleep out of fear. Sona did not need to make a sound for Lee to know who was his targets.

   "We believe he wants revenge. Zed has already been... Defeated," Lee said as he picked his words carefully.

            "Oh," Lestara choked, her throat becoming increasingly dry.

She knew Zed was a formidable foe and that it wouldn't have been easy for anyone by normal means to take him down.

   "So the council believes he's in Ionia for revenge against the Shadows and the Kinkou then?" Lestara asked hoarsely, her voice cracking slightly.

"Yes, but we're currently trying to find him. Even Syndra has offered a temporary alliance," said Lee.

  "That's comforting and all but Sona needs her rest now. Not anymore stress. Thanks for stopping by Lee," said the manager, who was silently waiting behind them, as he placed his hands on his clients shoulders and showing her out the door.

Sona turned her head slightly to look back at Lee, concern showered on her face. He didn't know why but Lee felt a pit deep inside him but he chalked it up to just being anxious. He needed get over it quickly. He had a job to do.
