This is Nomad! Back at it again with another chapter of Cosmo: A Splat Force Story!

Just wanted to say thanks for the on the last chapter, I'm glad you all are enjoying what I make!

In the last chapter, Alyssa (now known as Cosmo) alongside the rest of the Splat Force have arrived at a camp sight, not far from Bohan Village. But little did they know that something, or someone is now after them.

Without any further ado, let's get right into this!

C H A P T E R 6 : T H E S E C O N D V I L L A G E

Rex looked at the village from the top of the cliff, he took in a deep breath before turning back to face the force, who were now all set up and ready.

"Folks! Now that we've all set up camp, we will now go to the village, make sure you have your weapons just incase anything happens. Am I clear?"

Rex announced, fully prepared for what was coming.

"SIR YES SIR!"

The crowd of Inklings called out. The journey had officially continued.

Rex lead the force down a small pathway leading down the cliff, Alyssa followed on behind him, followed by Jamie, Chester, Oliver and the rest of the force. Eventually they reached the bottom of the cliff to which they were greeted by a large, frozen river which sat next to a small but empty cave.

"The water here is pretty thin, so I wouldn't recommend any of you walk on it unless you want a miserable death."

Chester said to the rookies, in an attempt to scare them.

"Chester, I guarantee you that none of us will be falling into that river anytime soon."

Jamie said, completely unfazed by what his friend just said.

"Well you never know mate, anything could happen."

Chester replied putting on a sinister voice, which gave Jamie and Rex a small chuckle. The force continued the walk down the pathway by the river.

1 1 M I N U T E S L A T E R . . .

The force had followed the direction of the chimney smoak and travelled along the river pathway, and in return found Bohan Village. Bohan had a similar feel to Baxter Village, but with a few differences to make it stick out like a sore thumb. Instead of a water fountain in the middle, there was a wishing well. The size of the village was slightly smaller length wise but height wise it was almost the same, if not only smaller. The houses were made out of dark wood and headstone. There was a small stone pathway leading into the village, the side of it was a line of well placed trees.

"Hey, Commander Allen?"

A small orange short haired rookie called out from the small army.

"Yes...Phineas is it?"

Rex answered, turning around to face him. There was lots of rookies with him so it confused him as to who was who.

Phineas Jagger, yeah. Anyway, how are we going in?"

He asked, this was his second big mission, after Baxter Village, so he didn't know if things were going to go down similarly or differently.

"We don't do what happened in Baxter, Instead we walk in and find whose in charge and simply apologise for what happened and find peace."

He explained, feeling hesitant about it after the last time he tried to find peace with a village.

"We only brought our weapons only if we needed them, incase they we need to defend ourselves but hopefully it shouldn't be necessary."

"From what I , Terrador announced that someone called Bolton Vulcan would be leading this village. He is the first one you want to speak to."

Alyssa informed, giving the force one key objective.

"We don't have anymore time to waste, let's go!"

Rex commanded. He turned around and started walking down the stone pathway, eventually walking into the village. He was quick to notice that the villagers all started to look frightened by the presence.

"Everyone, we don't want any violence! We just want peace!"

Alyssa stepped forward, hands in the air, she knew that it was best for the village to hear it from her.

"He's right people, we just want to talk!"

She called out. Her saying it caused many of the villagers to calm down and feel more safer.

"We need to speak to Bolton Vulcan, has anyone seen him?"

A blond haired villagers walked towards the force, feeling confident that they were safe and saccure.

"Mr Vulcan hasn't arrived yet, none of us know where he is Miss Frida."

She said to her, hearing her voice alone convinced her that the woman was telling the truth.

"He hasn't even showed up...not even once?"

Alyssa whispered, sounding immesly shocked.

"That's right, all of us here had to sort out our jobs by ourselves every morning, which has been trouble for me considering that most of the children have gone to either the Swamp Village or Colley Village."

She said. After what happened in Baxter, she was now unable to teach as there wasn't enough children to be taught hers in Bohan.

"Is there anyone that we can talk to?"

Rex asked, ing in on the conversation. He was still feeling somewhat optimistic.

"Apart from him, not really..."

The woman sighed. She, along with the rest of the village felt hopeless.

"Excuse me mame, firstly what's your name?"

Jamie asked, walking over to the group.

"Angie."

The woman answered.

"Right then, Angie. Do you and the rest of the village need protected by anyone or anything?"

He asked, hoping that there was at least something to do around here.

"Sorry to barge in on the conversation, but yes there is actually."

purple, pony haired Octoling answered, he had a small scar on his face, presumably from Baxter Village.

"Oh, you can call me John. As I was saying, every now and then a group of Sharks will show up at this village and take most of our resources. I'm sorry if you're in a hurry but, are you able to sort this out for us?"

"Hold up john, you said Sharks?"

Oliver asked him, sounding a little nervous.

"Yeah, Sharks...why?"

John asked, noticing the nervousness in his voice.

"H-How big are they?"

He asked him, his nervousness becoming more and more obvious by the second.

"Pretty big, they are also quite buff and hard to properly hurt."

John informed him, only for Oliver to start shivering.

"I'll take it from here Ollie!'

Chester said to him, giving him a gentle pat on the back.

"Do you know what time they usually show up?"

"Usually around 5:30 pm, so from what it looks like, you have about 4 hours before they show up, they usually show up on Tuesdays and today is a Tuesday so they are bound to show up today."

Angie explained, giving them all the details they need about the Sharks.

"Why don't you fight them with your gifts?"

Alyssa asked, curious as to why they couldn't just fight back against them.

"Well some of us did, Mr Challis tried fighting their leader using his sharp wings, but unfortunately for him the hammerhead sliced him to pieces, Cod bless his soul..."

Angie sighed, thinking about how hopeless it would be for the Splat Force to even attempt to fight them.

"Did it do any sort of damage to the shark?"

Rex asked, hoping that his idea would even work.

"Well it did cut his face a little, so at least some damage was done."

John answered. He started to understand where Rex was going with this.

"Wait, do you seriously think that you could take them on?!"

"It's more like if I hope I can take them on. I know this is probably suicide going up against them but you all need help, and we're going to give you just that."

Rex said, confirming that they're indeed going to fight sharks.

"You heard that right folks, be prepared as this is potentially going to be a long afternoon's work."

"SIR YES SIR!"

The force called out before starting to go off and prepare for what's to come.

2 H O U R S L A T E R . . .

"Alright folks listen up, me and Jamie have been thinking about a plan to save everyone from the Sharks so I thought of this."

Chester announced to the force before getting out an A4 piece of paper and reading out what was read on it.

"You all better listen to this:

Step 1: Evacuate everyone.

Step 2: Let them walk towards the village, but not let them in.

Step 3: Have Alyssa stand in the middle of the village as a small distraction.

Step 4: Alyssa shoots them with a beam and was they get pissed throw a bunch of bombs at their faces, maybe some tenta Tenta Missiles.

Step 5: Stay alive and fight them off.

Does any of this make sense?"

Alyssa raised an eyebrow at the plan, specifically at step 3-4.

"Are you sure that me standing there won't go wrong, I mean they could end up running up and stabbing me!"

Alyssa pointed out, feeling very uncomfortable about Chester and Jamie's tactic.

"Well if that happens then we skip straight to the throwing bombs part and then step 5. But it is likely that the sharks are too dumb to even figure out the plan anyway soooooo...Hopefully things will be fine."

Jamie answered, the force was unable to tell if he was assuring her or if he was just hoping on what he thinks will happen.

"Before we go through with this, does anyone else have any better plans?"

Rex called out, looking at both the force and the villagers, all of which didn't say anything.

"Well then, I guess you two win."

"Then it's settled!"

Jamie said as he and Chester high fived each other.

"We should probably get started on step 1, mind giving me a hand Alyssa?"

Rex asked her.

"Sure thing!"

She said. Both her and Rex walked over to the villagers.

"Alright, you all need to get out of here now, get safe!"

She told them as she and Rex lead them to the back of the village and into the woods.

"Alright then folks, if suggest you all get ready, they should be here in about two hours, make sure you are all prepared and ready!"

Chester told the force. The meeting ended as the force started to get ready.

1 H O U R , 5 5 M I N U T E S L A T E R . . .

The village was dead silent, nobody was in the village, except for Alyssa who was standing in the heart of it, not facing the entrance. All the villagers were evacuated away from the village just incase if things get dirty. All of the Splat Force were hiding in the bushes on the sides of the village, waiting for the time to sneak attack them.

After a few minutes, many large, buff figures cracked open the icy river and walked out it and started waking towards the village, their leader had a very unique head compared to the rest. He scratched the tip of his fins on the tip of his other fins like two large knifes. As soon as he got to the end of the entrance he stopped walking after seeing Alyssa just standing there doing absolutely nothing.

"Did everyone else move away?"

The shark leader called out smirking.

"More for us then boys!"

"Is that what you think is going to happen?"

Alyssa said to him, still not facing the sharks.

"You dare speak up to me, Bruce Hammerhead, the most mightiest Hammerhead shark around the globe?!"

Bruce yelled at her, not saying it with the correct grammer.

"Shouldn't it just be the mightiest instead of the most mightiest...Anyway I suggest that you leave this place before things get even more ugly!"

Alyssa warned as both of her fists started glowing.

"Oh I see how it is, prepare to meet your doom!"

Bruce yelled as he started walking towards her.

In a flash, Alyssa spun around and fired two beams from both hands, holding back Bruce. He covered most of the attack with his thick fins. As soon as he removed his fins from his face, he was then greeted by a large army of splat bombs coming his way...

B O O M ! ! !

B O O M ! ! !

B O O M ! ! !

B O O M ! ! !

The splat bombs not only did so much damage on Bruce but also many of the shark army, a pair of them even retreated after that, knowing the outcome. From behind one of the bushes, Oliver sighed to himself.

"Alright, let's get this over with!"

He whispered before jumping out from the bushes and firing Tenta Missiles at the sharks.

B O O M ! ! !

B O O M ! ! !

B O O M ! ! !

The Tenta Missiles took out some of half of them, only 6 sharks remained now. They all charged forward and into the village, the rest of the got out from the bushes and started firing at them...

B A N G , B A N G, B A N G ! ! !

Rex shot at some of the sharks, which turned out to be little to no use at all as the shark simply blocked it with his fins, it became clear to the commander that he had to use a different approach.

"Our weapons are useless! Everyone use splat bombs!"

He yelled as he threw a splat bomb into the sharks mouth and then shot at it as it went into it's mouth.

B O O M ! ! !

The damage done didn't kill the shark but it instead knocked it unconscious. Meanwhile, Alyssa was blasting at two different sharks, both of which were coming at her.

"I got ya!"

Phineas yelled as he threw two auto bombs at the pair of them. Both shark each picked up the bomb, confused about what it was, this confusion didn't last very long however...

B O O M ! ! !

B O O M ! ! !

The auto bombs reacted to being near the target and blew up in their faces, stunning the pair of them. This gave Alyssa time to charge both hands and then hit them with a beam each, which knocked them back.

"Thanks Phineas, you did well!"

Alyssa said to him, giving him a graceful smile.

"Anytime Cosmo!"

He said back before running over to help take down more sharks.

"Hey Jaime, I'm about to pull a Henry!"

Chester yelled before shooting at a sharks eyes, blinding them, and then jumping on it's back.

"Giddy up sharky!"

The shark yelled as Chester pulled his fin upwards, which caused him to run forwards.

"Oh no you don't!"

He yelled as he pushed his hand to the left and held it down. The shark ended up running in a circle. As soon as he was fully turned around and heading towards the river, Chester let go.

The shark stampeaded towards the river, not knowing where it was even going, due to being blinded a few moments ago. As soon as he was a step away from the river, Chester jumped off the shark and watched him fall into the icy, cold water.

S P L A S H ! ! !

Chester had to quickly run away from the river, making sure that he isn't hit by any water.

"Ah!"

He yelped as a tiny drop of water hit his neck, which stung him like a bush of stinging nettles.

Back at the village, Rex and Jamie managed to take down another shark, the only one that remained was Bruce, who was currently being shot at by a large group of rookies. He crossed his fins together before ready to swipe at them. Just before he had the chance to do so...

B O O M ! ! !

B O O M ! ! !

B O O M ! ! !

Splat bombs from Rex, Jamie and Chester attacked him, knocking him off guard. Before he could get the chance to fight them he was shot by Alyssa's hand beams. Bruce knew at that point that he was in a losing match.

"Well well, it seems that you have the upper hand. In that case, I surrender..."

"If you want to live, I suggest you and your shark army leave this place forever!"

Rex instructed him, Bruce reluctantly followed his orders and walked towards the icy river and swimming away, alongside his shark comrades.

Alyssa ran over to the back of the village to go and get the villagers.

"It's safe, their all gone!"

After half a minute, Alyssa walked back into the village, followed by all the villagers of Bohan Village, all of which where clapping and cheering at the Splat Force.

"Thank you for saving us Miss Frida!"

Angie said to her, giving her a thankful hug.

"Anytime! If they ever bother you all again, you'll know just who to call!"

She told her before walking over to Rex.

"Well what now, I mean it's already quite dark for some reason."

"Yeah well that's the fun of Winter for ya!"

Rex said snarkily.

"It's best we probably head back in a few minutes. We've already done our job today, and it all went well."

A little girl ran over to Alyssa and tapped her arm. Alyssa turned to face the young girl, it was the same girl that said hello to her when she had to look after that class.

"Oh hello you!"

She said, stroking her hair. The girl put her arms out from behind her back and gave Alyssa a blue flower.

"Oh my...thank you for this!"

"Thank you! When I grow up, I wanna be just like you!"

The child said to her, which really warned her heart.

"Honey, trust me on this, if you try hard enough then maybe one day you'll reach that stage!"

Alyssa said to her, still maintaining that massive smile and even winking at her. She was feeling happy with herself for inspiring someone.

"Hey, John is it? I can't say it to your missing leader but I just wanted to say that I'm so sorry for what happened at Baxter Vill-"

Rex said to him, starting to apologise before being interrupted.

"After what you have done today, you don't need to apologise for what happened. You saved us good sir. We all forgive you and the rest of your army."

John said, assuring him that everything is alright.

"T-Thank you..."

Rex said to him, feeling incredibly happy on the inside that everything is now alright...for now.

"Before you go, do you want a photo of you all, to remind you all about what you did here today!"

Angie asked, getting out a camara.

"That sounds nice!"

Rex replied, accepting the offer.

After almost a minute, everyone gathered around, Rex standing in the centre, Alyssa and Oliver to his left and Jamie and Chester to his right, followed by all the Rookies behind them.

"Alright, can everyone yell Splat Force!"

Rex called out, giving Angie the sign to take the photo.

"SPLAT FORCE!"

Everyone yelled as Angie took the photo. She printed of the photo and gave it to Rex, who thanked her and put the photo in his pocket.

The Splat Force all started to leave Bohan Village, Rex and Alyssa looked back to see the village waving at them, the pair of them waved back before heading off back to the force's camp.

L A T E R T H A T N I G H T . . .

A few hours had ed and the force was still feeling great after saving that village, so much that a little karaoke had broken out. Rex, Chester, Jamie, Oliver and several rookies all started to sing along whilst Phineas was playing a banjo.

As soon as the singing ended, the force started cheering and laughing. Alyssa, who was watching the karaoke started clapping at them.

"I'm off to bed now, glad that I got my banjo to have some good use, good night Commander Allen!"

Phineas said, walking to his tent.

"I might go as well, pretty tired after facing my fears today, although I am kinda proud at myself for it, night folks!"

Oliver said to the group, walking to his tent. As the minutes flew by, more and more went to bed until it was just Rex and Alyssa.

"Night Commander Allen, night Cosmo!"

Jamie said whilst yawning, heading towards his tent.

"Good night Jamie!"

Rex said with a warm smile. Rex moved to the wooden log opposite him, next to Alyssa.

"So, how was your first successful mission Alyssa, or should I say Cosmo now haha!"

"To he honest with you Rex, it feels great! This little girl gave me a flower and said she wanted to be like me."

Alyssa said, unable to contain her soft smiles.

"You're now their hero Alyssa, you now have to be a role model for them."

He said to her, seeing the amount of joy in her face.

"I guess so."

She said to him, taking in a deep breathe after what Rex just said.

"So, what do you gonna do after all this is over?"

"Oh wow...That's presuming I even make it out of this war. To be honest I know I'm going to sound a bit selfish here but I don't wanna die Alyssa."

Rex confessed, his voice's tone getting lower.

"I'm only 21 years old, I'm not even the oldest member of this force. Theres so much I want to do in life, you know?"

"Like what?"

Alyssa asked him, hoping that him talking about it with someone would make him feel good.

"Find someone that I love as much as they would love me, settle down, have a kid. You know all that. Maybe get a proper job, not something like Splat Force but more like a teacher or a careworker, something like that. You know, the simple life."

Rex said to her, looking deeply at the camp fire.

"I see, I can honestly see you being a Mayor one day, not like Terrador but more like an actual decent Mayor."

Alyssa said, telling him a her odd idea that she just thought of a moment ago.

"Ha, yeah I don't think that I would be a suitable Mayor."

He chuckled.

"I think I'm best a family man or something. I could be the dad that my child would need."

"Yeah, although you would be a cool Mayor, haha."

She giggled as she quickly dropped the Mayor talk.

"Would you want a soon or a daughter?"

"I always saw myself having a daughter, although a son would be great as well."

He answered, he stopped looking at the fire and turned to face Alyssa.

"What about you, where do you see yourself in the future?"

"I have no clue if I'm honest, I can't really go back to that abandoned house I was stuck in for most of my life, nor do I even want to. I guess anyway the wind blows is probably where I'm going to be."

Alyssa said softly, not fully sure about her future.

"I see, maybe one day you could come of to my place, for a visit maybe. Just so that you can have some company."

Rex suggested, knowing how lonely Alyssa is and hoping that some company could make her happy.

Alyssa gave him a small smile.

"That would be great, thank you Rex!"

She said to him, feeling thankful for all that he has done for her.

"Anytime Alyssa!"

Rex replied, smiling back at her before looking back at the camp fire.

After a few minutes, Rex felt something touch his shoulder, he looked over to see that it was Alyssa, who had just fallen asleep. Rex didn't wake her up, instead he gently placed Alyssa's head on his lap. He got off the wooden log and sat against it. He softly stoked Alyssa's hair before he too fell asleep. It wasn't long before Alyssa started dreaming again.

I N T H E D R E A M . . .

A purple tent was resting by a cliff side, it was early morning and the birds started singing once more. Inside the sleeping bag was the young blue haired and her mother, who sleeping in the same cozy sleeping bag.

G U R G L E ! ! !

The sound of the young girls growling stomach woke the pair of them up.

"Mommy, I'm hungry!"

The young girl called out, rubbing her stomach.

"And so I heard, literally heard that small tummy if yours honey. All I have right now are just left overs from last night."

She said as she opened up a small box and gave her a small part of left over fish.

"Thanks Mommy!"

She said as she started eating the fish, what started as a small nibble turned into a large bite, she finished it in seconds. After eating, she accidentally let out a tiny fart and started giggling.

Excuse me!"

"Well better out then in, your father always said, haha!"

She giggled before walking out of the tent.

"Where are you going Mommy?"

The girl asked, walking out her tent, holding a teddy bear.

"I'm just going to go and get some more food, I'll be back in 10 minutes, make sure you don't leave this area, okay?"

The mother told her, making sure she listened.

"I know Mommy!"

The girl said, sounding very joyful.

"Good, love you sweetie!"

The mother said before walking into the woods.

"Bye Mommy!"

The girl called out as her mother walked out. She walked back into the tent, looking at her teddy bear.

"Come on teddy!"

The girl went into the tent and then layed down ontop of the warm sleeping bag, she began to cuddle her teddy bear tightly, and ended up having a nap because she got too comfortable.

T H E N E X T D A Y . . .

The golden sun rose over the cold, white forest. Some of the were already awake and eating breakfast, which was cooked fish. Both Alyssa and Rex were still sleeping against the wooden long, Rex somehow managing not to fall back on the ground in his sleep.

He opened his eyes, only to be greeted by the smirking faces of Jamie and Chester, who were sitting on a log eating fish.

"Morning Commander, it seems you've had an interesting night haven't you?"

Chester greeted with a large smirk on his face.

"Wha-No I did not-"

Rex stuttered, his face started to go a light red.

"She fell asleep outside and I stayed with her."

"Yeah, yeah. I'm sure you did."

Jamie chuckled, giving him a wink.

"Well I didn't want to wake her...nevermind!"

Rex exclaimed before quickly changing the topic to avoid their cheekynesss.

"Anyway, how did the pair of you sleep?"

"Well I managed to quickly call my wife before I went to sleep, which was quite the experience for the pair of us, even Samantha got a few words in saying that she misses me and all."

Jamie answered whilst sounding immensely joyful.

"Baby Ami is doing great, apparently she learned how to crawl, I only wish I was there to see it. Apparently Carol get really emotional."

"Bro, you'll see her. Trust me!"

Chester assured, patting his back and smiling.

"Thanks mate, I don't deserve you!"

Jamie said with a comforted smile. They both went on to finish their fish and went of to wake up the other .

Not long after the conversation had ended, Alyssa started to slowly wake up from her sleep.

"Morning..."

She whispered as she gently rose up from Rex's lap.

"Morning sleepy head. Get a good sleep?"

Rex asked her, giving her a welcoming smile.

"Well after are conversation about our potential futures I feel asleep looked at the camp fire, which was probably what kept us warm in the night."

Alyssa said, finally feeling motivated to standing up.

"Wait a minute, me sleeping on you totally didn't make you sleep out here in the open did it?"

"Yup, it sure did."

He replied awkwardly.

"But don't worry you're alright."

"Yeah, haha!"

She laughed, scratching the back of her head before heading over to help with the unpacking.

After a couple of minutes, everyone was out of their tents and packing away everything, preparing to move to their next destination, however something wasn't quite right.

"Alyssa, are you okay?"

Rex asked, noticing the sudden concern in her face. She looked towards the crowd of force and walked three small steps forward. All of a sudden, someone jumped out from the trees and above the crowd, preparing a splash down, but before she could make them aware...

S L A M ! ! !

B O O M ! ! !

As soon as his fist hit the ground, instead of Ink flying everywhere, everything was blown away by devastating flames. The man looked up and faced the force. He slowly got up after that attack. He was an Octoling, with deep red hair, his face filled with nothing but rage and vengeance.

B A N G , B A N G , B A N G ! ! ! !

Without any hesitation, the force started opening firing at the Octoling. However, this proved to be no use as every single bullet fired was destroyed by the intense heat from the flames coming from him.

"Fall back! Everyone fall the frack back!"

Jamie yelled, all of the started running back towards Jamie and Chester, who were already by the cliff. They were now able to get a full on good aim without being too close. Jamie aimed his Splatterscope at the Octoling and prepared to fire.

B A N G ! ! !

Even thought this was a fully charged shot, the Octoling sensed it coming and managed to quickly get out the way just in time. He sent a massive wave of flames towards a group of rookies, most of which got burned in the collision.

Chester grabbed several splat bombs and started chucking them at him. Unfortunately for him, the Octoling yet again sensed the attack coming and dodged most of them. He caught the last one and chucked it back at him.

B O O M ! ! !

The blast sent Chester flying backwards towards the edge of the cliff, almost knocking him off. Rex charged at the mysterious Octoling and tried to take him on in hand to hand combat. Surprisingly and unfortunately for Rex, he was immensely skilled and managed to land more brutal hits to the face and stomach.

S L A M ! ! !

The red haired Octoling slammed his already blazed fist into Rex's stomach, knocking him back. He groaned as he tried standing up straight, not only did that blow ache but it also burned. Just then the Octoling's senses kicked off once more as he turned around to see Oliver firing at him using several Tenta Missiles. His hand charged up with flames as he blasts away all missiles, making it all worthless.

Oliver rushed forward and tried to take him on up close, Chester rushing back into the battle to help him. Both managed to get one or two hits on the Octoling right before he blasts Oliver at a tree fire and blasts Chester back towards the cliff, with the intention of knocking him off.

Chester fell off the cliff but just managed to hold on to the edge tightly, which stopped his massive fall. Rex got out his N-Zap and started firing at him. Alyssa fired some beams at him using her fist, only for him to deflect back at her, not noticing who she is.

B A N G , B A N G , B A N G ! ! !

Rex was open firing at the Octoling, but it was no use. Jamie threw a splat bomb at the red haired man but just like that time with Chester, he caught it and chucked it at Rex.

B O O M ! ! !

The blast knocked Rex back to the edge of the cliff. He struggled to get up as the blast managed to get a good hit on him. The red haired man looked down at him from afar, mercilessly before charging his fists once more. Rex slowly got up, holding his arm tight. He closed his eyes as he thought that this was how it all ends for him. The Octoling unleashed his power and blasted at him.

B O O M ! ! !

The blast landed, but not on Rex. Just before the blast was fired. Jamie ran over to Rex and pushed him out the way, saving his life but in return, he was the one to get punished by the attack. The blast sent Jamie flying off the cliff and into a deep fall, he closed his eyes knowing that this was his fate.

S M A S H ! ! !

Jamie's body smashed against the icy ground, smashing right through it and into the water. He yelped as his body was evaporated by the sheer cold water. All that remained of him was a wet photo of his family, which gently floated on the surface of the water.

"JAMIE!!!"

Chester screamed as he dashed towards the cliff. Rex slowly got up and was quick to realise what had just happened. Chester looked down towards the bottom of the cliff to see a massive hole in the icy.

"NO!"

Chester started sobbing with immese pain and grief. His best friend, gone...It was far to much for him to take in any of this. Rex walked over to the edge of the cliff and looked down to see the damage, his eyes starting to tear up. Chester looked up and saw Rex, he was clearly unable to talk. Rex got on his knees and he wrapped his arms around him and hugged him, he too was feeling not only pain and grief, but also guilt. Oliver ran over to the scene and placed his hands on his head as soon as he realized what just happened.

The red haired man stood there, looking around to see all the damage that he'd just caused. Tents, trees, bushes all burnt, many people either injured or killed. He seemed completely unfazed by any of this.

Alyssa's hands glowed light blue once more as she started firing at the Octoling. Although he managed to block her attack, he was still knocked back a fair bit but still stayed on his feet. It was then he realized who he was up against.

"Alyssa...why?"

He whispered to her before she started to blast at him to which he deflected them at several other trees. He blasted fire at the ground before running off into the woods.

Alyssa turned back to see the now mourning Splat Force, all feeling devastated and defeated. She walked over to Rex, he had just finished hugging Chester, and hugged him, her eyes tearing up. Nothing was alright this morning, infact it was quite the opposite. Everything was poor and hopeless...

Thx for reading chapter 6 of Cosmo: A Splat Force Story! Just when you think that everything will turn out fine, something bad will just be waiting to happen.
