Sorry for not posting a Periodic Table CAS in what feels like a while, though it’s really been only a little more than a week :sweat_smile: I have quite a few drafts that are in the works for this series. If you decide to attempt this challenge, please link this post because it is my original idea.

This look is based on one of the most important elements to life, Carbon

About the Element

Water may be the universal solvent for life, but carbon is the backbone of all living things. In fact, you’re about 18% carbon. Two pure forms of carbon include graphite and diamonds, the same element, but different structure. This element loves to bond and create hundreds of thousands of compounds that we use daily. One carbon compound you’ve probably heard of is carbon dioxide (CO2), and while it is necessary, too much of it is changing our planet. Carbon can also help us determine the age of things (carbon dating), its atomic number is 6, and its atomic symbol is “C”.

Dawn Rhodes

Traits:

Dawn Rhodes is a young biologist who is very social and a favorite to nearly everyone she meets. She has a strong interest in plants and animals, and volunteers at shelters often. Dawn performs well under pressure and is very self-conscious about her carbon footprint. She encourages those around her to go green as well. Dawn wasn’t always like this though. She used to be lazy which caused her to pollute, and change didn’t happen overnight, but over time she has improved to be a better version of herself.

For Dawn’s everyday outfit, there’s nothing too special about it. I kept it simple like I do with a lot of my sims’ outfits. I did take a really long time to decide on the hair though :joy:

Dawn’s formal wear is definitely a lot more dramatic. It’s a simple red dress with red heels and a fountain ponytail. For this other outfit, it’s pretty much what would be worn to volunteer at an animal shelter. Her hair is tied up in a bun because dogs can mistake ponytails as rope toys, and there’s no earrings or necklaces.

There were a lot more facts of carbon I could’ve included, but decided not to, otherwise the facts section would be a bit too long :sweat_smile: The name “Dawn” means “daybreak”, and “Rhodes” means “a clearing in the woods.” I made Dawn a biologist because biology is the study of life, and carbon is great at bonding to other elements. Diamonds are formed under pressure, but never forget that that change does not happen overnight.
