Sky here from the mod team to present the weekend challenge of September 4th, 2020. I hope you’ve all had a lovely start to the month so far and have been taking some time to enjoy yourselves. Without any further ado, I welcome you to this week’s challenge!

The majority of people, whether you’re an active listener or not, typically have a large list of songs you enjoy. Every type of song tries to convey a different type of emotion, like a romantic song could convey the feeling of love, and a sad song can convey emptiness.

And, usually, we listen to certain songs that best capture our current mood at the time. And, although not exactly portrayed in the games, our favorite characters from Zelda also fit certain songs, and would resonate with them.

So, for this challenge, I’m going to task you all with creating a playlist for a Zelda character of your choosing! Create a blog with around three or more songs that you feel capture the personality/emotion of the character you choose. Please be sure, as well, to explain how the song connects to the character.

As an example, you could talk about how the melody captures a certain feeling that your character is seen going through, or how the lyrics remind you of the character. Think, if you were this character, what sort of music would you listen to?

You are more than welcome to choose any Zelda character you’d like, and from any game you want. You’re also welcome to choose any song, regardless of genre. It can even be from another game’s soundtrack! However, please be sure that any songs you use are appropriate and follow our rules.

No slurs, no overly offensive or sexual, keep everything mostly light-hearted. Songs that are a bit more edgy are usually fine, just be sure to read through our [Guidelines] to ensure they do not violate them! And once again too, please to talk about how you feel the song you chose connects to the character you picked as to keep the blog on-topic as well.

As always too, this challenge will be eligible for rupees until next friday. Beyond that point, you’re still welcome to participate, however you will no longer be able to obtain rupees from it. To learn more on our rupee system, please be sure to check out this blog here!
