◇─────LESSON─────◇

So, for this lesson we're going to explore the many ways you can end a story!

There are many ways to leave the reader when you draw your story to a close. You may leave them satisfied, in disbelief, or simply in tears. It's all up to the writer and how they want to leave their characters, or what impact they want to leave on the story.

For this lesson I want you to comment a number between 1 to 15 down below. It's then that I’m going to assign you a specific type of ending you have to have on your story.

For example:

You comment the number 2, I would give you this:

Tie-back Ending.

An ending that ties back directly to the beginning or some part near the beginning of the story. Leaving the reader with a sense of what elements in the story that tie or connect the start and the end together.

◇───────◇───────◇

I will keep a list of numbers so as people comment I will be able to cross out what ones have already been taken. In order to show what ones are still available to take!

Seems I forgot to cross out 8, that was my fault but thanks for choosing two numbers!

Your ending is:

The Explicit Ending

It wraps up all questions and major plot holes with the story. Answer all the questions readers might have, and giving them a good view as to what happens next.

Right, hot out of the oven!

Question Ending

Leave the reader wondering about what happened next. Not as extreme as a cliff hanger ending but you give the reader a sense of where it’s going to go.

Like: and they walked towards the horizon with hope in their hearts.
