TNA Under Siege 2025 Review – “This Ain’t It, Chief”

Last Friday, TNA held another TNA+ event from the small town of Brampton. And hey TNA, just a side note here – if you're gonna be all buddy-buddy with WWE, including letting their talent on your shows, and even letting NXT's Trick Williams win the TNA World Title just two days after this show on an NXT PLE of all places, that's fine. You do you.

BUT.

Can you PLEASE stop scheduling these TNA+ events on Fridays? It's not like WWE has a certain two-hour primetime television show airing on that exact day or anything. Just a minor network show that draws 2 million people weekly. You’re just cannibalizing your own buzz before the night’s even over.

Going into Under Siege, I wasn’t expecting much.

The card looked like an okay Impact taping – some tag matches, a Knockouts title defense, a couple cross-promotional one-offs, and a random main event. And surprise, surprise: that’s basically all we got.

1. Mike Santana Vs. KC Navarro

Winner: Mike Santana

This was a perfectly serviceable opener. Santana has always had that street-fighter vibe, and Navarro bumped around like a pinball for him, which gave the match some energy. Santana’s offense looked snug, Navarro’s speed brought good contrast, and the crowd – bless ‘em – actually gave a shit. It had a sense of urgency that a lot of other matches on this card lacked.

Booking-wise, Santana going over was the obvious move, especially if TNA wants to rehab him as a solo star post-AEW. Nothing groundbreaking, but a solid way to kick things off.

Rating: 3/5

2. Eddie Edwards Vs. Cody Deaner

Winner: Eddie Edwards

Look, I know Eddie is a TNA lifer and all, but I’m gonna say it: I’ve seen this man have one too many slow, uninspired undercard matches in the last five years. And Deaner? He’s not bad... he’s just there.

This was a basic TV match with a story that felt like it belonged on Before The Impact. It dragged.

The finish came off like a formality. Eddie wins, Deaner eats another pin, and nothing about this advanced anybody. You could cut this match out of the show and absolutely nothing changes.

Rating: 2.25/5

3. The Northern Armory Vs. The System

Winner: The Northern Armory

Alright, this had some juice. The Northern Armory are starting to find their groove as a unit, and The System, while not my favorite act, knows how to play cocky heels. There were a few nice tandem spots, and the crowd was into the final few minutes. It never completely kicked into gear, but it had structure and effort.

Booking-wise, this was the right call. Northern Armory winning gives them credibility, and TNA needs to invest in new talent, not guys who peaked in 2021. Solid tag match that did its job.

Rating: 3/5

4. Ash & Heather by Elegance (c) Vs. Spitfire for the Knockouts Tag Team Championship

TNA Under Siege 2025 Review – “This Ain’t It, Chief”-Last Friday, TNA held another TNA+ event from the small town of Brampton

Winner: Ash & Heather By Elegance

Yawn. I wanted to like this. I like Jody Threat and Dani Luna, and “Ash by Elegance” is such an absurd Karen gimmick that it’s almost entertaining.

But the match was just a slog. A few miscommunications, some clunky sequences, and a crowd that couldn’t have cared less.

TNA’s Knockouts Tag division is a joke and this match reminded me why. The champs retained, and we’re left with belts that mean nothing. Props to the effort, but this just didn’t land.

Rating: 2.5/5

5. Order 4 Vs. The Rascalz, Raj Singh & Indi Hartwell

TNA Under Siege 2025 Review – “This Ain’t It, Chief”-Last Friday, TNA held another TNA+ event from the small town of Brampton

Winner: Order 4

This was a car crash – and not always in the good way. The Rascalz brought the flips, Order 4 brought the brawling, and Raj Singh was... present. Indi Hartwell looked fine in a mixed-tag setting, but the pacing was weird and the structure was sloppy.

There were moments of fun chaos, but then it’d nosedive into awkwardness.

The finish was fine, I guess. Order 4 winning gives them momentum, but it was hard to care when the match felt like an excuse to cram bodies onto the show.

Rating: 2.75/5

6. Tessa Blanchard Vs. Arianna Grace

TNA Under Siege 2025 Review – “This Ain’t It, Chief”-Last Friday, TNA held another TNA+ event from the small town of Brampton

Winner: Tessa Blanchard

If you’re gonna do a WWE x TNA crossover match, maybe don’t put the two most inconsistent women from each brand against each other. This was boring and a little awkward. Tessa can be great when she gives a damn, but she was on autopilot here. Arianna Grace has improved a lot in NXT, but she’s not quite ready for singles PPV-style matches.

Blanchard winning makes sense, but her return push already feels tepid. The crowd sat on their hands for 90% of this. It was okay, but not even close to memorable.

Rating: 2.5/5

7. Masha Slamovich (c) Vs. Victoria Crawford for the Knockouts Championship

TNA Under Siege 2025 Review – “This Ain’t It, Chief”-Last Friday, TNA held another TNA+ event from the small town of Brampton

Winner: Masha Slamovich

What was this? Seriously. I get it, Victoria Crawford (aka Alicia Fox) coming back was supposed to be a nostalgic pop, but she looked completely unready.

Botched transitions, slow sequences, no fire.

Masha tried, but this just never clicked. The crowd turned on it fast, and the ending felt like mercy.

This should’ve been a one-minute squash. Instead, it felt like a charity match booked for sentimental value. Awful.

Rating: 1/5

8. Nemeth Brothers (c) vs. Matt Hardy & Leon Slater for the Tag Team Championship

TNA Under Siege 2025 Review – “This Ain’t It, Chief”-Last Friday, TNA held another TNA+ event from the small town of Brampton

Winner: Nemeth Brothers

This was a step up. Say what you want about Dolph—uh, Nic Nemeth—but he brings a level of polish to TNA that most don’t. And Matt Hardy still knows how to work a crowd. Leon Slater was the X-factor here: his speed, agility, and sheer energy gave this match some real excitement. The crowd finally woke up.

The match told a decent story – veteran heels fending off a fun, oddball babyface team. There were moments where the pace dipped, but the finish was hot. Good, not great, but one of the better matches of the night

Rating: 3.5/5

9. Joe Hendry & Elijah Vs. Trick Williams & Frankie Kazarian

TNA Under Siege 2025 Review – “This Ain’t It, Chief”-Last Friday, TNA held another TNA+ event from the small town of Brampton

Winner: Joe Hendry & Elijah

This was TNA’s idea of a “main event” and honestly? It wasn’t bad. Hendry continues to be over as hell, and Trick looked like a total star. The energy was there, and there were some strong sequences between Trick and Elijah. Kaz was doing his usual steady hand thing, but the match ran a little too long and lost steam in the middle.

Still, this was a fun showcase, and it almost tricked me into thinking this company has a plan. Spoiler: it doesn’t.

Rating: 3.5/5

Pros:

Leon Slater is a future star.

Joe Hendry remains the most entertaining thing in TNA.

Nemeth Bros are doing solid work.

Some matches had energy even if they weren’t great.

They didn’t stretch the show to 3+ hours (thank God).

Cons:

The Knockouts division is in the dirt.

No real stories progressing.

WWE crossover feels like a creative crutch.

Dead crowd for 75% of the show.

Absolutely no forward momentum for the company.

Final Score: 4.5/10

TNA Under Siege 2025 Review – “This Ain’t It, Chief”-Last Friday, TNA held another TNA+ event from the small town of Brampton

Under Siege 2025 wasn’t a trainwreck, but it sure as hell wasn’t good either. The best stuff felt like solid TV matches, and the worst stuff (Masha vs. Fox, anyone?) felt actively embarrassing. TNA is in a weird limbo right now – half trying to be its own thing, half leaning into WWE scraps – and the product reflects that. Until they commit to an identity, these shows are gonna keep feeling like placeholders on a streaming calendar. TNA desperately needs a creative reboot, because the current product is complete shit.
