Porch Swing #5 (poem) // green

Yes, I know I missed yesterday. I had this all ready to post when I fell asleep - leaving it in my drafts. I'm not going to post another one today. I'll just leave it at this one, but pick up posting one everyday tomorrow! Anyhow, on with the poem!

In the forest, there lived a giant tree.

He was as tall as the eye could see.

For he may be surrounded by others,

he sure felt more alone than his brothers.

He longed for the day,

where he could let his branches sway.

Then he'd show his brothers,

just what it'd be like amoungset the others.

For now, he was content -

even if he was quite bent.

He was in the prime of his life,

and wanted to go without strife.

For that is the life of a tree,

even one as tall as he.
