Congratulations, VA! (Drawing, Confessions, HCs, Favorites)

I loved the idea for the #Ultimate50k challenge, so here's my entry!

First up, a drawing!

I tried drawing OLIVER, but it didn't go so well XD (also I used the Undo button a lot so including those it's closer to a hundred strokes but shhhh)

Next, some confessions:

1. It makes me really sad when people say Vocaloid is dying. I just got here!

2. I ed this fandom in April or so, and sometimes I feel like I missed out on its better days.

3. I never had to wait for Fukase, though, so, y'know, silver linings XD

4. Sometimes I feel creepy listening to younger 'Loids like Yuki and OLIVER because I'm much older than they are

5. I wish I could have grown up with Vocaloid but ya know

6. Listening to deeper-voiced 'Loids like BIG AL and Gakupo sing makes me feel like a stalker for some really weird reason

7. I love BIG AL's voice in talkloids, though

8. I've never listened to VY2, unity-chan!, or kokone before

9. It's not that I'm not interested it's just that I'm lazy XD

10. I really dislike GUMI's, Gakupo's, Iroha's, Rion's, unity-chan!'s, and Una's designs

11. I used to hate Fukase's design but now his is one of my favorites

12. Basically I just really dislike Gakupo and unity-chan! for no reason

13. But I hate seeing hate on any Synth and try my best never to insult anyone else's tastes

14. It makes me really uncomfortable to see Vocaloids in revealing outfits

15. It really sucks when I love their voices but I'm scared to draw them

16. We need more female Vocaloids with pants (short-shorts don't count)

17. We need more 'Loids with huge, fluffy hoodies (Yukari and Nemu have the right idea here)

18. I'm kinda tired of seeing girly Piko but mainly because I headcanon him as being extremely salty

19. I used to be really bothered by 'Loids like GUMI's and Yukari's absurdly long hair-strand-thingies in front of their ears cuz I thought they were totally unrealistic

20. I still think they're unrealistic but now I can't stop drawing them super long and luxurious XD

21. I'm really tired of the anime bangs. Literally every Vocaloid with an official design (except Mew, WIL, Merli, and CYBER SONGMAN) has them. Does no one have a forehead??

22. We need more non-anime Vocaloids

23. I feel like we'd all still draw them in an anime style, though

24. OLIVER and the CYBER duo tried but whOOPS

25. I have trouble telling the difference between Rin's and COCOROBO's voices, KAITO's and Kiyoteru's voices, and IA's and Merli's voices

26. I really can't tell ZOLA Project's voices apart except in a few songs

27. I still love them all I just can't tell the difference between them XD

28. I wish MAYU wasn't canonically Yandere because her design is lovely and her voice is just so adorable but I can't stand creepy songs so there's only, like, five MAYU songs I can listen to and four of them are by SEDO Sounder

29. I just want more happy Yuki, OLIVER, and MAYU songs

30. Please spare these children they've suffered enough

31. I lowkey think it's hilarious when Level 5 or lower s make dramatic goodbye posts on VA, like, I don't know who you are? Sorry you gave up after three days??

32. I'm secretly really scared people will get sick of the Bro Squad and then I won't have anything to post

33. I also secretly hate talking about Fukase so much cuz it probably sounds like he's literally the only Synth I listen to but he's really not??

34. According to my playlists I listen to Len waaaaay more

35. I think I might be in denial that Len is actually my favorite Vocaloid (at least in of voice)

36. I don't even like flower or Piko that much I just have more headcanons for them and stuff

37. I actually prefer V3 flower's design and always think of her as the 'real' flower

38. MIRIAM and AVANNA are two of my top favorite Vocaloids but I never know what to post about them so they don't get any attention

39. Never mind Piko I need MIRIAM V4 immediately

40. I really, really need Ausgris

41. I even made a comic for them for if they ever get released and I cry every time I see it in my sketchbook

42. I'm actually super excited for Nemu and her design is quickly becoming one of my favorites but I've never drawn her cuz I'm lazy

43. I really want to get into UTAUs and discover more of them but there's huNDREDS

44. I really love when Synths sound extremely robotic like ACT2 Len

45. I also just really love auto-tune in general and don't really care if it's "cheating" it sounds cool

46. I get really frustrated and dejected when I want to show a song with robotic singing to one of my friends, though, cuz not many people like that sound

47. I also love when Synths sound extremely realistic like VY1 and Iroha

48. But muffled voices like OLIVER's and MIRIAM's or heavy engine noise like DAISY's bother me

49. Seriously, speak up, Ollie, we can't hear you

50. There are so many amazing s on here that I long to get to know but I'm too shy and don't know what to say so I just say nothing and sit here drooling over their works (I hope that doesn't sound creepy)

Next, I thought it'd be fun to do some headcanons! (They weren't listed as an option but I'm gonna do it anyway XD)

I thought I might talk about some of my ships. If you're not interested, just move along to the next bit!

KAITO x MEIKO

1. They've been happily married for two years now

2. They met in college through mutual friends

3. KAITO thought MEIKO was borderline rude when he first encountered her because she's very outgoing and brash, especially after she's been drinking

4. MEIKO thought KAITO was a bit of a pushover and didn't really give him a second thought

5. KAITO's roommate Kiyoteru set them up on a blind date

6. Needless to say, neither person was thrilled to see the other

7. However, the night took a turn for the better when MEIKO suggested they get some ice cream after dinner

8. After watching her eat three bowls of ice cream, KAITO soon developed a big crush on MEIKO and asked her out again

9. As they got to know each other, both slowly realized how much the other person helped them

10. KAITO was incredibly shy and timid and was hesitant to try new activities or meet new people, and MEIKO encouraged him to step outside his comfort zone and live more fully

11. MEIKO was brash and reckless and secretly deeply insecure, and KAITO quietly helped her think things through and believe in herself

12. Together, they're the 'Loids' most dynamic power couple

13. Kiyoteru takes all the credit and won't let KAITO forget it

Len x Tei

14. They met at OLIVER's house when Tei was eating lunch with her best friend MAYU

15. When OLIVER and Len walked in to play video games, Tei was instantly smitten

16. Unfortunately, she was also covered in ketchup after MAYU and she had fought valiantly with an uncooperative ketchup bottle

17. Len and OLIVER thought it was blood and fled upstairs without a word

18. It took weeks for Tei to convince all the kids at school that she hadn't murdered anyone

19. MAYU, another brilliant matchmaker, eventually persuaded Tei to try talking to Len

20. Despite her reputation and extreme shyness, Tei agreed

21. She showed up at his door the next day with a lovely banana-flavored cake

22. Things got a lot better after that

23. Tei quickly became one of Len's close friends, and she helped him through his breakup with Miku

24. Despite his confident exterior, Len is actually rather insecure and clingy

25. Tei always reassures him and gives him plenty of hugs

26. They started dating a few months ago

27. They like to surprise each other baking cakes for the other person

28. Len is abysmal at baking, but he tries (and Lily pitches in a lot)

I don't really have that many headcanons for my other ships yet so

One time I was really stressed out and started pondering what the Bro Squad thinks of physical ??

Ausgris

29. Despises surprise hugs---and surprises in general

30. Loves soft things---especially cats

31. Has extremely dexterous and delicate fingers from tinkering with machinery for years

32. Has the prettiest handwriting ever

flower

33. Loves turning physical into a competition---tries to squeeze people in hugs so hard they can't breathe and to practically break their fingers in handshakes

34. Absent-mindedly fiddles with her plum streak when bored or zoned out

35. Enjoys poking Piko at random intervals just to keep him on his toes

Fukase

36. Hates physical of any kind, but not because he's asocial

37. He's extremely self-conscious about his appearance and doesn't want others to feel uncomfortable

38. OLIVER still gives him surprise hugs every now and then, which he enjoys

Len

39. Loves playing with people's hair

40. Learned to braid like a pro with Lily

41. Likes wrestling with Rin but secretly craves more hugs

OLIVER

42. Loves hugs and having his hair ruffled, but hates having his face touched

43. Doesn't wear shoes cuz he loves the feeling of cool grass under his feet

44. Petting James helps him calm down when stressed or scared

Piko

45. Dislikes physical cuz he isn't very sensitive to touch (he's basically operating on two senses here)

46. Releases small static charges when touched on his "skin"

47. Likes the cold weather cuz it prevents him from overheating

VAI

48. Wants to hug literally everything

49. Enjoys randomly tackling unsuspecting 'Loids (whether with a hug or just a tackle it's often hard to tell)

50. Hates having their hair touched or played with
