ROLE PLAY PREFERENCES

Thought I'd make a thing to put here so it doesn't clog up my bio.

:large_orange_diamond: Before you start reading, here's what my rp schedule looks like:

Eastern Standard Time. That's all I can really say at the moment, since my classes are all over the place. I'm also a highly sporadic responder; it could go anywhere from me making five responses in a day, to one response in three months.

:spades: Situations where I will immediately leave after one warning:

:spades: As a note, there are obviously some characters I enjoy rping as more than others; I'll usually try to avoid roleplaying with characters who I've only given two stars or lower. You can find my OCs rp availability as well as more info on em here.

:small_red_triangle: I'm most comfortable with LITERATE/ADVANCED LITERATE. While it's preferred that you do so as well, I don't mind too much so long as you don't mind my length. However, I'd still prefer that you keep it at 12+ lines; it's a little disappointing for me to put so much effort, and only receive a three sentence response.

:small_red_triangle: Role play like you're writing a story; this includes PROPER GRAMMAR and PUNCTUATION. I'm not as big a stickler on spelling, but I will be seriously annoyed if you don't put commas or periods and the like in the right places.

:small_red_triangle: Be DESCRIPTIVE so that I don't have to ask for clarification on every single post you do; that's a huge turn off, and it really saps away at my motivation to rp. Plus, it doesn't really give me much to work with if you aren't.

:small_red_triangle: That being said, READ EVERYTHING I type. I understand if you skim and miss a detail here or there; I do it too sometimes. But if I point it out, please adjust your message accordingly. If not, don't be salty about it when that little detail you didn't pay attention to comes back around to bite you.

:small_red_triangle: Let the RELATIONSHIP DEVELOP between OCs; I won't rp instances where the characters start off deeply head over heels for each other already for no apparent reason.

:small_red_triangle: Be REALISTIC with your characters and what they do, or at the very least, be able to reasonably explain it. Don't do something that's considered OP in the universe where the rp is happening, god mod, auto hit, or do anything like have a robot with a semi-automatic machine gun as a character in a rp that takes place in the 1800's.

:small_red_triangle: No metagaming.

:small_red_triangle: Don't assume my character's done something on your own accord.

:small_red_triangle: Make sure you can separate rp from ooc.

:small_red_triangle: If your character's needy, overly angsty, or ridiculously submissive, find someone else.

:small_red_triangle: Please, please don't come up to me looking to RP, but expect me to come up with the whole plot on my own. And please END YOUR REPLIES ACTIVELY, in a way that prompts action so that I don't have to always be the one moving the plot along. It's draining.

:small_red_triangle: I'll wait however long it takes for you to respond; as long as you don't leave the chat, I won't either unless I wasn't particularly enjoying the RP that much in the first place. In return, I hope you'll be able to be patient for me as well.

:small_blue_diamond: I can play dominant or submissive characters, though I tend to enjoy playing characters who are a bit of both. It feels a little more realistic to me, and it's more fun having that push and pull going on.

:small_blue_diamond: Everything else that hasn't been mentioned, I'm impartial to. I would've put romance down under "favourite genres", but that's a little delicate and I always get worried about it.
