You call us deceivers, say we’re born to betray,
But the tides shaped our sorrow; we’ve no other way.
Our song is not evil, it’s a cry to survive,
Yet you see us as monsters who shouldn’t be alive.
Spare us, oh, spare us, can’t you understand?
We drown in this curse, it wasn’t our plan.
The sea chained our souls, it tore us apart,
But even as we perish, we sing from the heart.
We were once something brighter, with lives of our own,
But the ocean was cruel, left us cold and alone.
Do you think we’re your enemy? We long for release,
Yet you silence our voices and confuse it for peace.
Spare us, oh, spare us, can’t you understand?
We drown in this curse, it wasn’t our plan.
The sea chained our souls, it tore us apart,
But even as we perish, we sing from the heart.
Strike me now if you must, but hear what I say—
This pain clings forever; it won’t wash away.
For each life we’ve taken, we’ve paid in despair,
The sea’s cruelest punishment—a fate none could bear.
Spare us, oh, spare us, the tide’s pulling fast,
Our song fades to silence, the breath is our last.
The ocean may claim us, but know in your soul,
We weren’t monsters to conquer, just broken and cold.
And now as we vanish, our voices will wane,
But the sorrow we carried will forever remain.

This was absolutely stunning. Is that also you singing in the recording? Your voice is unbelievable. I love everything about this haha. I can't even properly find the words to describe how much I loved this piece lol
So beautiful and yet so sad. Is this an original piece? I really love it. You should make and post more
Yes, It was for a response for an epic musical animation. The scene was where they kill the sirens who look terrified.. but he was upset at them after they attempted to kill him. so he ordered his men to cut off their tails and to be thrown into the sea to drown. They began to beg to be spared but he didn't listen to them.
So I wanted to write their response.
Note: the comments said this is like killing an animal who is trying to survive. And thus the thought is it really evil if one wants to live?
