This is my second attempt at this roleplay, but the first time I'll be making a roleplay at all in this amino. I had this idea about 2 years ago, but have refined it since then and added more details to the plot. I will take submissions in the comments and in the soon to be made OOC! I hope you all enjoy!

This will be a semi literate roleplay, meaning I expect 7+ lines in each response. I understand that sometimes we aren't given many details to go off of, but please do your best. Any one-liners or posts less than the line requirement will receive 2 warnings before being kicked from the chat.

Any disrespect towards or the host will not be tolerated.

Add TW If needed. If it is anything beyond what a PG-13 film will show, we'll kindly ask you to delete and rewrite your response. I personally enjoy detailed violence when it's done well, but anything in bad taste is just that, in bad taste. If you aren't sure about something, feel free to ask the host or co-host!

We accept free speech but if you intend to abuse or harass others the host and cohost will speak with you. Your actions have consequences.

If you come on here to provide unhelpful judgement on the roleplay or to give me negative comments on the rules don't bother wasting my time.

Any advice or suggestions to make the roleplay interesting will be taken with interest, however any controversial ideas will be rejected if it causes issue with the other roleplayers.

If we recieve no response in 3 days w/ out notice we're going to expect you left the RP(Please give us a heads up).

Most types of faceclaims will be accepted. Including DND, OCs, Realistic Faceclaims, etc. I prefer for anime faceclaims not to be used, but if they can be imagined alongside the other OCs in the roleplay, I won't really mind. I can also decide whether to accept it or not.

There is a 3 OC limit, only one of which can have a high-ranking role.

Minimum of 7 lines, 3rd Person POV is preferred.

The roles are first come first serve, and just like the faceclaims, I reserve the right to decline an OC.

Response must have a header.

Any smut/18+ is against Aminos Rules. Feel free to romance, but anything heading into the 18+ range is prohibited. Allusions and hints to such situations will be allowed as long as they aren't too detailed.

Any out of character/ Out of RP conversations should be in (),//,\\,)),((,]],[[, etc to prevent any confusion, however, do your best to keep it in the designated OOC chat.

✠ Plot ✠

Salem Massachusetts was always an active hive of witches and warlocks. Then the Vampires came. Then the Werewolves, the Ghosts, and various other magical or supernatural entities until Salem was buzzing with creatures and monsters of all shapes and sizes. In the year 1933, during the height of the Great Depression, the Coven of Salem vowed to take control and once again be feared by all who opposed them.

They began working in the shadows, inviting other covens to their cause and moving their way up human society, many becoming politicians and trusted government officials; it was impossible to tell who was a witch and who wasn't, though of course, humans wouldn't know the difference anyway. By the year 2005, over 70% of United States' leadership comprised of witches and warlocks. By 2014, the Coven of Salem, now known as the Allied Covens of the West, had taken control of the entire US government. The witches then waged an all out war against the rest of the world, their magic being far superior to humanity's current technology. By Winter of 2025, the ACW had overthrown every other major government and had wiped out almost everyone who stood in their way. The Witches' power became absolute and most of humanity was forced into slavery under the supernaturals, now known simply as non-humans.

With their grip over the world established, the ACW reformed themselves once again into the Great Wiccan Empire, or the GWE. At the head of this great empire was the former Head-Priestess of the Coven of Salem. Along with her Consort, a Chosen Third, and 4 other qualified witches and warlocks, they would form the leading council of 7. The Empress and her Consort were the highest ranking and most powerful, then came the Chosen Third who acted as a Grand General, then the other 4 would be given split leadership of 4 territories throughout the world: North, South, East, and West. Though these territories vary in size and land mass, the 4 council are of equal standing within the ranks of the Empire.

The Empire thrived for years to come. As technology advanced, so did the different magics, some practitioners even taking it upon themselves to integrate new technology into their spells and rituals. Their armies were unbeatable; witches, warlocks, and other non-humans worked side by side to keep order. That is, until the first Global Human Revolution of 2056.

Humans who had escaped slavery began fighting back against their new Wiccan rulers. Men of faith bolstered their morale and ushered them into battle, even convincing some non-humans to fight against the Witches' rule, but it was not long after the rebellion's unorganized beginning that they came to their inevitable end. The Empress personally hunted down and destroyed those responsible, enslaving humanity once again. This time, she wouldn't allow such insolence. Instead of treating all non-humans as citizens like she had before, she began treating them as if they were as worthless as humans, enslaving them and forcing them into the armies of the Empire. Soon enough, the only ones with true freedom were the Witches and Warlocks who swore eternal loyalty to the Empress and her regime.

Now in the year 2089, the Empress sits comfortably at the head of the world, leading in whatever tyrannical manner she sees fit, another rebellion seemingly impossible. In this world, however, one should never count out humanity's desire to be free. Behind the scenes, escaped humans, non-humans, and even traitorous witches conspire against the Empire, planning a second great revolution. Will the rebellion spark a flame and ignite the Empire? Or will it burn itself to ash trying? The fates have yet to decide.

✙ Great Wiccan Empire ✙

As the current reigning power over the world, there isn't an inch of the planet that their resources do not extend. Their power is great, their fury unmatched. Forever Hail the Great Wiccan Empire!

Empress 1/1

Former High-Priestess of the Salem Coven and now leader of the greatest empire in history. The Empress is powerful and cruel beyond measure, ruling with an iron fist to destroy anyone or anything that opposes her. Her primary place of residence is in the Capital of the Empire, Salem, Massachusetts.

Consort 1/1

Grand Consort of the Empress, or more simply, her husband. Having been with her from the beginning, some speculate that it is he who pulls the strings of the Empire. Equally as cruel, though not as powerful as the Empress, he enforces her rule without mercy. He primarily lives with his wife, the Empress, in the Capital.

Chosen Third -/1

A high-ranking witch or warlock chosen by the Consort and approved by the Empress, they act as the Grand General of the Armies of the Empire. While they hold the same rank as the rest of the council, though not necessarily as powerful, the Chosen Third will often have the final say in a military matter, unless of course the Empress of her Consort steps in. They are free to move about the territories of the Empire as they see fit.

Council -4

Thought to be the 4 strongest magic s in the world, second only to the Empress and her Consort, each Council member was given a region of the world to govern, much like a lord would in the feudal system. The regions were split like the 4 directions of a com: North, South, East, and West. The Northern Lord is based in Moscow Russia, the Eastern Lord in Tokyo, Japan, the Southern Lord in Cairo, Egypt, and the Western Lord in the Capital of the Empire, Salem, Massachusetts.

Wiccans of the Imperial Army -/∞

The backbone of the Empire, these witches and warlocks dedicate their lives to crushing opposition and keeping the Empire in power.

Citizens of the GWE -/∞

✙ Insurrection of the t Defiants ✙

The Second Global Human Revolution, these are the newest group of Rebels looking to overthrow the Empire and establish a more fair world order for all those who wish to live in peace, no matter if they are human or not.

Grand Marshal -/1

Leader of the Rebellion and inspiration to all who fight against the Empire's prejudice. He or she is a human who openly speaks out against the Empire's enslavement and oppression of non-witches.

High Command -/4

Much like the Empire has a council, the rebellion had a structured High Command, each member giving their thoughts on how to move forward. They act mainly as advisors to the Grand Marshal. They can be human or non-human.

Soldiers of the Revolution -/∞

Brave humans and non-humans banding together for what they believe is right, fighting against the Empire through guerilla warfare and their own propaganda.

Refugees -/∞

Witches, Warlocks, or other non-humans who wish to separate themselves from the Empire but who do not wish to actively fight. The rebellion does their best to take care of them, but with the Empire bearing down on them, it is not easy. This is basically the und group.

✠ Prominent Locations ✠

✙ Salem, Massachusetts ✙

Capital City of the Empire, Salem has been turned into a metropolis for it's magic-wielding citizens. Skyscrapers have erected, businesses have grown, and of course the streets are bustling with activity. It closely resembles New York City in all its majesty. The city expends outward in a circle from the Empress' home, each district forming a ring. The innermost district is the wealthiest while the outermost is the most poverty ridden. The entire roleplay will take place in and around Salem unless otherwise stated.

Empress' Palace

A large skyscraper dominating the skyline, it is the tallest and most heavily guarded building in the city, sitting right in the center. There are over 200 floors, the very top being a large chamber where the council meets. What goes on in the various rooms of the building is a mystery to all who dare not enter, rumors of torture on humans and non-humans alike flood the city surrounding it.

Divi District

The wealthiest district of the city, it forms a ring directly surrounding the Empress' Palace. In this district you can find the highest quality restaurants, clothing stores, and businesses, all using their power and finances to gain even more of an advantage above those below them.

Consol District

The second innermost district ring, the Consol District is the home of the middle class and where the tyranny of the Empire begins to show. A loyal citizen can comfortably live here as it contains good food for a decent price, fair housing, good work, and the finest brothels in the whole of the Empire.

Lutum District

The poorest and most ravished of the ringed districts, the Lutum District is not a place any self-respecting witch would ever find themself. Hence why it is the home to the traitors and hideaways of the Empire. It is a hive of poverty, crime, escaped humans, and all around misery. A wench from this district is just as likely to kill you and sell your clothes as she is to attempt to pleasure you.

✙ City Surroundings ✙

Salem is surrounded by a large, dangerous forest filled with horrors not even your darkest dreams could conjure. It is, of course, also home to the Insurrection. The forest is large and dark, near impossible to find your way out of if lost; it is the perfect place for the enemies of the Empire to hide. Some say even the trees themselves have a thirst for blood.

Base Camp

The main camp of the Insurrection, this is where all the big decisions are made by the Grand Marshal and they're group of advisors. It houses many fighters of the revolution as well as refugees on the run from the Empire's grasp.

Lake Laveau

In the Eastern part of the forest lies a lake, the water as black as night and as cold as winter's biting winds. Many have lost their lives trying to tread it's waters, though no one is sure if it was from the chill of the waters themselves or the horrors waiting below the surface.

Blair Marshlands

Just past the lake lie the marshlands, a desolate, fog covered area where the sick go to die and the mad go to rot. It is known as the most haunted area in the entirety of Salem. The darkness in the air is rumored to be cursed, locking any and all who enter within the mist and eating away at their minds until they are a shell of their former selves.
