Dose of Paranoia

Do you ever get that paranoia when you have a lamp on in the dead of night, or youre looking at something bright like your phone, and for one second you think of, or imagine, that there is going to be some... thing hiding in the dark just.... staring? Like it wants to kill you so quick, but you couldnt see it while the lights on? And if you tried to turn the lights on, that itd suddenly try to attack, causing you to freeze with fear?

Maybe you feel as if you have any appendage out of the blankets, or off the edge of the bed, that some unknown entity will rip off and devour. All the while staring the rest of you down hungrily.

I get it often. It keeps me up sometimes.
