The Queen in the North (Artwork)

Greetings! In this blog i'd like to show you one of the Artworks I drew. I will explain the process in a few steps and hope you like it.

Here you can see the finished piece. It was, to be honest, more of an experiment, as you will see in the WIP pictures, because I changed a few things while drawing.

I began with drawing a simple sketch of what I had in mind for the artwork. Then I started colouring. This time I decided to not make a lineart after the sketch because I wanted the different colours appear smooth together and not being interrupted by lines. Then I started with colouring. First, I wanted to give Sansa a blue dress, but as you will see later decided to change the colour.

I continued to colour the artwork and like already mentioned did I change the colour into purple. Next, I drew the fur attached to the cloak Sansa wears. I experimented a bit with brushes and colours here.

In the next step I started to draw the leather holding the cloak together. Furthermore I began to draw the face and roughly made a sketch of the facial features I wanted to draw.

Well, here you can see that I changed but also added some things. I added shadows to her clothing, finished drawing the face and the hair and also drew the armor pieces beneath the cloak. Instead of the violet dress I originally gave her I chose to just give Sansa a skirt and a black clothing. Furthermore did I add some effects around Sansa's silhouette.

Once again I decided to change a few things. I replaced the leather straps with another piece of armor and instead of the light around her body I added some details to the background and gave Sansa a crown.

Here you can see the finished artwork. To finish the drawing I added a quote and to contrast the otherwise dark colour scheme also decided to put two simple lines on each side of the picture. I hope you like it! :)
