Where do I begin? My Thrones Amino experience has been quite the rollercoaster. It is interesting how a random app on your phone can have such an impact on your life, the good and the bad. But that is life, full of unexpected turn of events and growing from the darkest of times.

I ed in April of 2017, thanks to a cool YouTuber who is also a friend of mine, FilmBuff. One night I was watching one of his Game of Thrones reactions and he shouted out this Amino, saying how it’s a community for all ASOIAF lovers, filled with amazing content for all biggest fans alike. And so I ed.

I was amazed on how active this community was, roughly shy of 20,000 and around 100 active s. The thing that stood out to me the most were the theory based blogs. It was evident how well thought out they were; I want to give a special shout out to Lidya of House Stark for being one of those quality content bloggers who inspired me to want to write (this didn’t come into play till much later). Of course, they are just two of many great writers on this community, though unfortunately, all these quality bloggers are currently inactive now.

The very first content I put out there on this Amino were my polls on Game of Thrones fashion, going over each character, season per season. It was one of many of my creative outlets and I thoroughly enjoyed analyzing the meaning of each garment, and how symbolic each were. Because of these polls, I came to meet my first friends on here, Edric Storm (Alex), who was so kind to me. I want to say thank you to the both of you for welcoming me into this community and thus the reason why I continued to blog.

One of my fondest memories was the The Naughty List” results of that challenge. And no, no one got offended. It was a different time :wink:

Along the way I met new people, some who came and went, those who I thought were my friends (and ended up being the contrary), and those who stuck with me till the end. Let’s be honest, the people are the reason why we come back to the community! So I suppose this is the time where I give a BIG thank you and shout out to all those who made my thrones experience a positive one. Get ready, it’s a long list! (If I have forgotten your name, know that I actually tried to list each and every one of you because I am crazy like that! It’s not personal, I promise!)

My protector, voice of reason, and someone I’d like to call my best friend. I will never forget all the great memories we shared, the host of the most active chat during the “Golden Age” (Thanks Onion), and for being so caring (at least to me hehe).

:small_red_triangle: The next shout out is my sister from another mister, Aashi of Asshai, the Rhaenys to my Visenya, my Little Pohtahtoh, Mother of Shadows. We first met in 2017 and has stuck by me till this day. I can’t recall all the shenanigans we’ve gone through since there’s way too many. Thank you for being a real one and for that, I love you from the depths of my tiny chicken heart.
