Greetings, Vyena here! Season seven answered but also left many questions open. In this blog I don't want to talk about the quality of the season itself but more about what to expect from season 8, for example what questions are still without an answer and what scenes we probably will see. This blog is just the first part of a series I am planning. I will, like already said, list to what questions we can expect an answer and also what scenes and conversations we still need to see. In the next blogs I am going to list my own theories for these scenes, so let's begin, I hope you enjoy!

(Important: This is a Show-only post so the things I talk about won't necessary or likely happen in the books. I just explain what could happen show-wise, despite the fact if it's logical or a good story.)

• the golden company •

Euron Greyjoy on his way to Essos to get the Golden Company to Westeros. Cersei and him secretly planned this and concealed their true motivatin by telling the people that Euron would sail back to the Iron Isles because he fears the White Walkers and their army of the dead.

What to expect?

With the golden company being one of the best armies to hire we can for sure expect some interesting battle scene, since they also hinted that they will include the War-Elephants the Golden Company has. They also will bring one or more new character(s) into the storyline and we already heard about a casting for the leader of the Golden company.

• the night king •

This is, in my opinion, one of the most interesting storylines. In the season's final we saw the wall being melted down by The Night King with the help of Undead Viserion. Wether or not Tormund and Berric survived will be another topic, but the wall has fallen and the Night King and his army can now move forward.

What to expect?

Once again, we cam expect more battle scenes. The Night King will the now destroyed wall and either will continue his way to Castle Black, since he currently is at Eastwatch by the sea, but the most likely possibility is, that he will instantly move on to Winterfell. I personally doubt that we will see any battles at smaller castles and holds in the North because of the reduced amount of episodes. Any way, the Night King will bring the Winter to Westeros and destory everyone and everything that gets into his way.

• the wall •

When the Night king melted down the wall Eastwatch also got destroyed. Beric as well as Tormund were at the castle at that time and we haven't seen yet if they were able to survive the masses of ice and snow and more important, the army of the dead.

What to expect?

It's possible that either both survive, only one of them does or they all die, but I will assume that they survive for now. It is doubtable that they will try to fight the dead at the wall since they clearly have the advantage. If they manage to escape they likely will try to get the message to the closest Northern hold, but as already said will the season probably cut immediately to Winterfell so if they survive we will see them there next.

• theon greyjoy •

Season seven was the season Reek finally became Theon again and started to overcome his traumatic experiences. After his sister Yara (or Asha) got taken hostage by their uncle Euron Greyjoy he now wants to free her after a comversation about family and values with Jon Snow. He and a few other Ironmen try to find. Euron, get Yara back and kill him.

What to expect?

Unlike Theon we now that Euron isn't on the Iron Isles but on his way to Essos, so it is doubtable that they will cross paths again soon, but what is possible is, that Theon will fins Yara who had been left at Pyke guarded by Euron's men. He might be able to free her but could also find her dead. Either way will this be his final redemption arc.

• jon and daenerys •

After the end of season seven Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen are now on their way to Winterfell by boat instead of choosing the faster possibility and travel using Daenerys' Dragons. During one of the last scenes we see them sleeping with each other.

What to expect?

Deanerys and Jon will arrive at Winterfell in season 8. The question is if they will arrive on time. This connects to the storyline at Winterfell. If they won't make it on time then they might find Winterfell deserted because its inhabitants decided to give it up, flee and save their lives. If Daenerys or Jon will survive is still a question. People assume that Daenerys might

become pregnant and die during childbirth, others say that she gets killes by Jon to fill the role as Nissa Nissa. Jon's death during the war also is likely but since he already died one time not as high as the chance of Daenerys dying. Furthermore Jon's true identity will eventually be revealed to him and might affect his incestous relationship with Daenerys.

• winterfell •

At the moment Sansa and Arya are at Winterfell. They killed Petyr Baelish and Sansa is preparing the North for the Winter.

What to expect?

Like mentioned is it possible that Winterfell get abandoned in the new season and both Sansa and Arya will have a role in the war. Arya possibly is going to fight together with Jon since she also own a Valyrian Steel Dagger that can help them against the dead. Sansa most likely isn't going to fight. Furthermore will we see more reunions and meetings if they don't leave Winterfell. Arya will meet Jon again and Daenerys will be confronted with the Starks. Some think her relation to Sansa will be negative, others say the opposite.

• bran stark •

Bran has improved his powers but lost much of his personality. He now is the three eyed raven and can travel back in time and see things others can't. In the season's final we saw him finding out about the relationship between his Aunt Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen and that Jon isn't a Bastard but their legitimate son named Aegon Targaryen.

What to expect?

There are many theories considering Bran Stark but what we know is that he has a connection with the Night Kings and is capable of powerful magic. A possibility is that we find out that he traveled back in time to warn people about the threat of the Night King. First, King

Aerys who just turned more insane because of it. There are also many theories saying that Bran basically is all Brans in history and finally built the Wall as Bran the Builder because of his failed attempts to convince people in the past that the treath of the Night King is real. Others even say that he became the Night King himseld by traveling too far back in time and getting made into the Night King by the Children of the Forest. Furthermore are he and Sam the people to know about Jon's identity so we can assume that one of them will tell him.

• king's landing •

Cersei is now the ruling Queen. After the meeting in the Dragonpit she falsely promised her help against the Night King to Jon and Daenerys but as already said got left by Jaime after he found out about her real plan.

What to expect?

Cersei most likely is just going to wait. With the War in the North occupying her enemies she can rest now for a short while. Furthermore can we expect a wedding between Euron and Cersei, making them King and Queen. The big question is if Cersei is going to die and who or what will kill her. Either the Valonquar prophecy will come true, although the show left out that part if

Maggy the Frog's prophecy or she will be killed in another way. Also, assuming that the Valonquar Theory will come true we still need to find out who it is. Valonquar means younger sister or brother so the most likely options would be Tyrion or Jaime, but it can also be interpreted in a metaphorical way. We also don't know yet if Cersei truly is pregnant so this question will also get answered. All in all, I think her death is very possible.
