A Cursed Life

So yeah, I am back with another theory, this one revolving around the Skagossons, or Skagosi, whichever you prefer.

Disclaimer: This is NOT a serious blog. It's semi-serious at most.

Now, on the island of Skagos, there are unicorns, mystical horses with horns. In the amazing series called Harry Potter, unicorns are also present, in the Forbidden Forest, and their blood is considered magical.

"The blood of a unicorn will keep you alive, even if you are an inch from death, but at a terrible price. You have slain something pure and defenceless to save yourself, and you will have but a half-life, a cursed life, from the moment the blood touches your lips."

Now, when I read the above quote, I started wondering, can this apply to the people of Skagos? Do the Stoneborn drink the blood of these innocent creatures and therefore live a cursed life filled with cannibalism and savaging?

You will all probably be thinking I'm crazy by now, and trust me, I'm thinking that as well.

Anyway, let's look at the similarities.

If it became known that they drink the blood of unicorns, which they are, they'd likely be shunned, as no one wants to be friends with someone who's cursed, right? And guess what, they are shunned by the other Northmen.

Their appearance is said to be different from that of others. That they have a bigger size, are hairier, and smell differently. Is this also an effect of the unicorn blood?

The Skagosi perform ancient rituals in front of Weirwood trees, and even go as far as to sacrifice human life. But they wouldn't be above sacrificing unicorns as well, right?

On top of that, they trade unicorn horns with people not of Skagos, which means that those horns either fall off or are cut off, and if you have read the other paragraphs in this blog, you'll know that I'm thinking of the latter.
