⋆It’s been so long since I’ve posted or created something it almost feels foreign to me. I’ve had to take a step back from creating mostly because I’ve been questioning my faith while dealing with my mental health. This is a struggle I’m sure many of us often trifle with. We judge ourselves and get angry that we simply cannot enjoy our spiritual practices the way we used to, so what now?⋆

⋆I finally feel I am in a stable enough place to start sharing my journey again. When we loose our faith or fall off our path it’s really important to that it doesn’t invalidate us as practitioners of our crafts. Even if we choose to leave for a new spiritual faith or religion entirely it’s ALL a part of your path.⋆

⋆When I am facing the ugliest parts of my mental health I often have to how beautiful my journey is in all of its contrasting lights and shadows. I have to choose to fall in love with myself no matter what I choose or is right for me because I have no other choice! Give yourself the grace to allow yourself to question if what you believe in still resonates, brings you joy, moves your soul and inspires you to live another day. Because if not, why are you forcing yourself to hold onto this way of being? You are allowed to grow and change.⋆

✯Doubt & Struggle Is Part Of The Process✯

⋆Our perceptions of ourselves and how we interact with the world and how those interact with us creates our reality. Perceptions can always grow, change and shift over the years, so why wouldn’t your spirit do the same? Your spiritual journey is a life long one and doesn’t look the same for any two people. Even those with the same faiths will always walk different paths. If you are not a certain way or believe the norm do not betray yourself. Hold your differences as a sign to pay attention to what really sets your soul on fire.⋆

⋆When I fall off my path one of the only things that brings me back to life is my love of learning. The more I learn about the world, the way reality works and about human creations I am fascinated with exploring. But just like learning life is a process and it takes time to know ourselves. You aren’t going to just have a birthday, become an adult and have it all figured out. Your greatest spiritual shift may just happen when your 80 but you’ll never know unless you give yourself the time and space to explore without fear or judgment.⋆

⋆You can’t just romanticize life in general, you must romanticize YOUR life because it’s the only one you have. Even if we do reincarnate or go to a heaven of some kind, while we are on earth this is the only time we exist this way. Our life here seems so impossible and yet we have forgotten just how truly special we are. Until you realize this truth that beauty and magick is within existence itself you’ll always search for validation of your beauty and existence.⋆

⋆In today’s modern world, the highest act of ascension you can accomplish is radical self acceptance, celebration and comion. We all have parts of ourselves that we would rather avoid but choosing to love and uplift ourselves even when we are walking contradictions is the essence of freedom. Make discovering yourself the greatest love story that was ever written. Create a whole adventure within everyday that’s just for you. This intimacy with yourself is your greatest power in all areas of your life.⋆

✯Even If That Means Loosing Everything✯

⋆Blogs, influencers and media seems to push self love as this pretty little spa day with chocolate treats and champagne as self love. While this can be a way to care for oneself it creates the illusion that self love is always a beautiful and serene experience. What about when you loose everyone around you because you choose better for yourself than they are willing to for themselves? What about when people are angry because they no longer have control over you the way they used to? Or what happens when no one understands why you no longer go out and spend time with others like you used to? People won’t understand your journey. the ones that do and treat them like gold.⋆

⋆At the end of the day often you’ll need to be your own system through this journey. While questioning your faith your mind is in one of its most vulnerable states and can be easily reprogrammed. Be careful who you let in when your faith seems rocky but to always chat with the face looking back at you in the mirror. If leaving your spiritual practice is the best thing for your well-being that is self love no matter what anyone else has to say. At the end of the day only you know how you feel and anyone else who presumed to speak above your own experience isn’t for you.⋆

⋆Often times our whole identities or livelihoods are tied to our spiritual practices. Realizing that it may no longer be serving our higher good can be devastating when it’s how we ourselves and families. While it’s good to remain cautious and have money saved for emergencies before uprooting our lives, often it is our whole identities being dependent on our spirituality that betrays us from truly immersing ourselves in the experience. The reality is there is no one solution fits all but there is that one solution that fits for you out there. Give yourself allowance for mistakes and new directions to unfold without it collapsing who you think you are because we are always changing.⋆

⋆The best thing we can do when we feel lost is embrace the unknown. Giving ourselves the grace and space we need to figure it out, sometimes alone. Being alone and critically questioning our beliefs is so madly uncomfortable but it is so necessary for our evolution not only as individuals but also as a species. Allow yourself to ask what if what I believe in is wrong? How do I feel about this? How does this change who I am if it does at all? You’ll never know unless you sit with yourself and seek the answers laying dormant within. We just have to hold our own hands and choose ourselves before our fear of what we may discover is truly best for us. Or perhaps we just need our own before we start the next chapter of our journey.⋆
