I am very excited to announce our new Honorary Hatchling segment for the Hoot News Highlights! Each month we will double feature a selected Honorary Hatchling in two issues of Hoot News! For our first article I have interviewed our Clan member Equinoxx being a fellow Hatchling.

❈Azura: What about magick resonates with you?❈

Equinoxx: "In its simplest form, magic is just the manipulation of energy into a desired outcome. That's something I've been doing since I was a child without realizing it. But witchcraft gives me a personalized system that I can use to work energy on a conscious level."

❈Azura: Give a brief description of what your practice is.❈

Equinoxx: "Right now my practice is really sporadic. It happens mostly on a whim by some spontaneous feeling of motivation. I don't follow a specific path, but I am fueled by visuals, so I lean more towards cosmic themed activities. I'd like to eventually develop that into its own system of astro witchcraft."

❈Azura: Why do you enjoy being a member of the Hatchling Clan?❈

Equinoxx: "I don't have a group in real life that I can meet with, I've only recently gotten into limited with another new practitioner. But the Clan is always active, and I could spend hours looking through content. The diversity is unparalleled, and even as someone whose interests are pretty widespread, I learn new things all the time. The Clan is a hub for sharing experiences and it functions incredibly well on this platform."

❈Azura: What is one of your goals for magick and why?❈

Equinoxx: "Consistency is something I've always struggled with, and I think if I can achieve that then I'll be more comfortable in owning my own path as something I built myself. I think this would help keep my vibration elevated so that I can better see my own progress."

❈Azura: What is your favorite part about your craft?❈

Equinoxx: "I have to be honest here, because I don't have a favorite part. Every detail of what I do for my practice is something I'm working on to get to where I want it. But I think my ability to create a vibe is the closest to being my favorite."

❈Azura: Have your practiced with other witches or are you Solitary? How does this affect your experience here in the Hatchling Clan?❈

Equinoxx: "I've always been Solitary, I just don't think I'm at a place right now where I'd be effective in a group. But I haven't really noticed this affecting my experience in the Clan. I think because of the platform of Amino, everyone is encouraged to be their most individual and authentic self. I don't see a focus put on coven work, so I never feel like I'm missing out."

❈Azura: What is one thing you wish to share with the Clan?❈

Equinoxx: "I'd like to share the idea that learning never stops. Every time you meet a goal, or get to where you want to be, you'll still strive for more. Learning is something that transcends lifetimes, but keeping knowledge for the sake of having it doesn't teach you anything. It's not until knowledge is tested through practice that it becomes wisdom."
