Spirit challenge

So I decided to this #spirit2human challenge cus I really liked the idea and I immadiately knew that I needed to draw Totoro's squad :D

Next I will explain why I chose those poses and clothes etc.

TOTORO

As soon as I decided to draw Totoro I wanted to make him a little chubby and have that smile of his. For the clothes I just searched "Japanese traditional clothing" and made it look like Totoro. I also added the umbrella that he is holding in the movie. The pose is what I imagine it would have been in the umbrella scene.

CATBUS

Catbus was a little bit hardet but I did almost the same thing with as I did with Totoro. Again I tried to do this traditional japanese outfit on him and just added his cat ears, tail and yellow eyes. I tried to make his pose a bit more extra since he seems like a very energetic character.

THE OTHER TWO

I don't know if these guys even have names, but they're so cute that I had to draw them too. They have just normal clothes since I thought they were a little younger which is also the reason I drew them as children. The blue one has a backbag because in the movie he had a bag that he carried. He also is hugging Totoro because I got this shy vibe from him when I watched Totoro. And the white has a leaf since she also had one in the movie. She is a little curious but still

stays close to Totoro.

I hope this is good enough for the challege since I really put thought into this and spend my time working on it. I guess it's fine but I feel like it be better if it was done digitally, but I can't draw like that :'D
