Hi!
I have noticed that this amino group isn't as active as before, which is quite sad :(
I ed this group in 2017 and back then there were dozens of posts per a day. There were a lot of challenges. Chat groups were also very active and you could get over 100 likes for your posts. It was easy to find new friends and there was always someone to talk to.
I was gone for a two years and then I came back here in 2020. It just wasn't the same anymore. Everything felt different. I don't know if it is just me who has grown up from a child to an adult between these years, but I miss those times.
Does anyone what I am talking about? Has everyone of my friends here grown up and left? Is there anyone who has been here for at least five years and is still active?
A lot of guestions I know, but really, if you were here back in 2017 please comment and tell me that I am not the only one who feels this way :sparkles:
What can we do to make this group active again?
Thanks for reading and have a good day <3

Or maybe it’s too easy for me to fit Earwig and the Witch into the Ghibli timeline.
I ed 2020 and it was super active tbh, there was so many things happening. I even ed committees and became a Curator and eventually Leader for a little over a year. I had to step down because of personal reasons. But the community has been quiet since 2021. I do hope that it becomes more active though. I still have hope :)
How do you become a Curator or a leader? How does that work? I have always wondered but never asked lol 🤔

The mod team holds applications to be a cutator. You make an application then they’ll announce if you get accepted. Only Curators, after some time can you be eligable to be a leader, and only leaders can discuss about it and pick a curator to be a next leader, when one of them is stepping down.

Ah okay :+1:
i never was part of this amino back then but i do relate to this post because i used to be part of self care everyday amino in 2019 and 2020 and it was much more active back then with all the best people and now it's just.. not the same anymore so i get how you feel.
Helloo my friend.
Yeah I feel the same. Next month I'm here for four years and to be honest. I miss the old days. It's was different for sure :pensive:
But please, do know, We do try to keep our beloved ghibli active. We do love and appreciate you all
But sometimes we had just one member that participated for a Challenges or for an event, streaming days... even when we opened an applying blog for a spots in our Gladiator or Gazette team.. we just had one member... yup just one..
So it's not we don't want to make Challenges or events anymore, we will in the future. But for now, it feels its not our best time.
It's sometimes hard for us to take our spare time in making Challenges and other blogs, knowing no one is interested.
But we still make with lots of love our Gazette, presenting Mini-Challenges and some movie screening for all those that are daily here. We want to give you all a wonderful time,.. But please know, its for us not easy, like you had notice, some of our beloved curators and leaders quit for personal reasons, so we try to do our best to make it a pleasant time with the staff we have.
We do hope.. and we are sure, those time will come back.. I know this place is still beautiful and beloved, it seems people don't have much time to be here lately.
If you have some ideas or requests, that you think would be lovely to wake up our sleeping Totoro's.
Please don't hesitate to tell us. we are open for suggestions 🙃
Thank you for you lovely post and wanting to help us, so this community can grow in a beautiful Camphor tree :deciduous_tree:
"sleeping Totoro's" aww that's the cutest thing
Thank you for doing so much for us and keeping this community alive! I appreciate it and hopefully there comes a time when there are a lot more and this community is the same it used to be<3 I surely will tell you if I got some ideas🩷
I know how you feel. This Amino is barely active. That's because there are so many anime more popular that Studio Ghibli movies, and that's sad.
