I’m going to say, so far.. my favourite mother/child scene from the Studio Ghibli movies. Must be the one in My Neighbor Totoro, when the two sisters, Satsuki and Mei visit the mom at the hospital. It’s just so iconic... and so heartwarming. When the two sisters are so excited to see there mother at the hospital...
And there smiles are there faces when they do. As the mother brushes Satsuki’s hair, and Satsuki says to her mother, if it will grow soon. And that she wants it to be like hers. I just think it’s so heartwarming, and how funny when Satsuki and Mei argue are each other why they yelled at each other. It’s just a nice scene to show for what childhood was really like. And that’s overall why I like this film...
