Time for another toy review from me! Today I am reviewing Domez.
Domez are a series of toys encased in transparent plastic domes, designed for collectors who like to be able to stack and stabilize their toys.
Domez are available as Blind Bag items, but I bought a special complete set in an exclusive San Diego Comic Con package. It's shiny and looks like a Cookie Cat.

The front of the package is held closed by a Velcro seal. If you pull it up, the toys are visible.

Here's the side and back of the package.

Packaging Pros:
• It's shiny and impressive looking
• There's even a background insert for more shine behind the toys
• You can open and close the view window easily but securely
Packaging Cons:
• It is impractical for displaying the toys; the window cannot be propped open
• If you have to remove the toys for display, you just have this box that's too cool to toss.
• The Velcro seal attaches to a plastic tray that needs to slide out when you remove the toys. If you don't release the seal, it feels like the tray won't slide out.
So let's see these toys out of the box.
In the plastic tray:

Out of the tray:

Stacked in the packaged order:

All stacked!

Overall toy set pros:
• It's great to have toys that stack and can stick to each other side to side; collectors are always struggling with space issues!
• The toys have cool sparkly purple stands.
• They picked some interesting characters for the set; Rose, Lapis, Peridot, and Lion have been done in other sets before, and Steven and Watermelon Steven have been done before but not quite these designs, while these are the FIRST (and, so far, only) Ruby and Sapphire toys! It's strange but refreshing that this set has different options beyond the usual Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl.
Overall toy set cons:
• Stacking the toys high makes them unsteady.
• You cannot take the characters out of the domes at all! (Without breaking them.)
Now let's look at the characters individually!
Farmer Steven

Pros: Great reference to his outfit from "Watermelon Steven," looks appropriately Steveny
Cons: Steven is eating his dead watermelon Baby Melon and grinning about it--soooo creeperiffic
Lion

Pros: Bored Lion face and floofy mane, perf heart nose
Cons: His eyes look sort of out of whack, not a typical trait of his
Watermelon Steven

Pros: Such detail, very recognizable as the watermelon that got possessed by Steven in "Super Watermelon Island," cute innocent face
Cons: Steven's actions literally killed this watermelon when he hijacked its life, made it get selected as a sacrifice, and then went back to lead more watermelons to death--there's so much sentient watermelon death here.
Ruby

Pros: LOOK AT HER, the first Ruby toy and so fierce and adorbs! You can see her Gem which is neat, plus such cute Rubyblob hair.
Cons: I can't put her in the same dome as Sapphire?
Sapphire

Pros: LOOK AT HER, the first Sapphire toy and so poised and joyful! You can see her Gem too, and look at her ploofy hair!
Cons: Again, can't put her together with Ruby
Peridot

Pros: Such accuracy on the furious Peri face, this is post-limb-enhancers Peridot and she is a pie slice of cute
Cons: She's the only angry one in the set so it's a lil outta place
Lapis

Pros: Water wings, looks apprehensive but not depressed
Cons: Her face looks too long and her eyes look like they're pointing in different directions which is not one of her traits, the model just kinda looks off
Rose

Pros: Wow, her hair and dress look fantastic
Cons: The eyebrow, the lips, and the eyes look awkward, not accurate to her design, something off about it
That's it for the Domez, everyone!
Hope you liked my review!

Aww sapphire looks so happy...not anymore tho :/
Is it weird that now that there’s a toy set without Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl, I kinda wanna see one without Steven? ‘Cause now I kinda do.
Hmm. That'd be hard to pull off!
