What I dislike about The Last Jedi

Hello there, I'm Jean Grey. I will share my thoughts about what I did not like about The Last Jedi, a film released in 2017. It will cover many different aspects of the film. The differences that will be mentioned are the characters and their roles. There is a chance you will not agree with the points that I make and I respect your opinion. Please keep in mind this is very opinionated. I don't think the sequels should get the hate they got. The actors and actresses were trying to make do with what is given to them by the producers. I thought The Last Jedi was the worst movie in the sequel trilogy. I hoped they would fix some mistakes in Force Awakens but they didn't. I didn't like that they had changed directors. We shall begin the discussion of the new characters that were introduced into this sequel movie.

Vice-iral Holdo was a female with purple hair. She is known for not having good leadership skills for those around her. Some people believed she was acting as a spy for the First Order. She was overly arrogant around people. I found her character not interesting at all no matter how many times I tried to figure out the points that she was making. She was also very nosey and tried to get into everyone's conversations when it wasn't her business. According to Loathsome Characters iral Holdo Wiki, "Her character is extremely inconsistent and poorly written." I found that to be extremely true throughout the whole film. In addition, Loathsome Characters iral Holdo Wiki also mentions, "At the start, she's portrayed as bad and then out of nowhere becomes good at the end."

Rose Tico was a human female who was a maintenance worker for the Resistance. She has always hated this role. This character received way too much hate. I lost faith in Star Wars once I found out how much hate the Actress had gotten because of it. People found her to be too preachy. The total screen time Rose had was 10 minutes and 53 seconds in total. Not to mention people also found her to be annoying just like Finn was in Force Awakens. She felt like a repeat of another character people did not like. They say she feels like Jar Jar.

Paige Tico was the sister of Rose Tico. She served the Resistance by being a gunner. The idea of Rose having an older sister made sense until it was shown on the big screen. I noticed that Rose slowly ruined Paige's character. I did not like that they had only introduced her to be only a minor character. This character had so many missed opportunities that Rian Johnson didn't think about adding. Paige also was a kinda boring character in my opinion.

Before you get mad at me for doing this, please understand there is a difference. Yes, I am talking about in-person Snoke. Snoke is the De Facto of the First Order. He is 2.18m tall and we see him sitting on his throne this time. The more I looked at him, the more questions had. For example, who was he before Snoke or how did he get his scars. It didn't make sense why most of the time he was obsessed with Skywalker lineage when there was hardly a threat from that family. He shouldn't have died that easily to Kylo.

Bargwill Tomder is one of the most disgusting characters to ever exist both morally and physically. Bargwill is a male Cloddogran with brown skin and hair. You can find him managing the fathiers of Canto Bight. I strongly dislike the fact that he was all for child labor. I think a lot of people thought he handled situations way out of portions. He also was very ill-tempered in some parts of the movie. He had way too much control over things and it probably didn't help that his default solution was to whip whoever caused the problem.

Rian Johnson is an American filmmaker and the director of Star Wars The Last Jedi. Rian had his vision with Star Wars which costs Disney in the end with the fanbase torn in half after the film was released. The way he went about the film was honestly not in the right direction at times. He also made side characters that didn't exactly fit in with the film. It also seemed as if he wanted to slowly get rid of fan-favorite characters. I agree with some fans saying Johnson had ruined Star Wars but that claim was later fixed in Episode 9. I think it is time to finish the post.

Overall, Last Jedi had the most problems out of any of the Star Wars movies we had seen. Switching Directors didn't help them at all and it led to sloppy story writing. There just wasn't enough character development for some characters like there should have been. If JJ had continued to direct the sequels, we wouldn't have as many consistency issues as we had. Some of the scenes felt rushed to me and you could sometimes tell based on the dialogue of the characters. Some characters didn't feel like there was justice done to them.
