Greetings one and all! Today- in honor of mer-may- I bring you one of my Nautolans. If you’ve been following my work, you’ve met this one once before.

Whats funny about porting him over from my fantasy project- is that sometimes the reference poses that I pull from aren’t going to be the same character. Patches- in the other world, is a sea elf- but is non aquatic here. However Patches and Onze have similarities in every AU I use them in, so a pose for one is quite usable for the other.

That being said I couldn’t show the whole drawing process for the Patches half- because I don’t trust amino bots to not get angry at the pre-dressed pose. But I still gave a hint of it for showing my progress reasons.

For this drawing I just really liked the idea of aquatic folks fishing via grabbing fish while swimming- and just keep moving too much for them to really get out of the bag.

I do find it very funny that every time I draw this guy I end up having to look up lots of fish. This time it was more Star Wars fish… but still fish non-the-less.

It’s also giving me an idea.. since Onze’s colors are based off a fish, I could design some other Nautolans based off Star Wars fish…. Might be a fun little art project for Mer-may. However if I do that , they won’t pop up until my other competed art has been posted.

Let me know if that’s something you’d all like to see, even if it doesn’t pop up until after Mer-May.

Otherwise, the things that you’ll see coming from me soon are going to have to do with a SW5e game that I’ll be starting to play in soon. (We would’ve started this last Monday, but some technical difficulties came up.) I have a lot of character designs coming from that project.

It’s also fun timing cause the character I made for that ties back to my first role play characters here… which is lovely timing with it being close to 10 years since I made them (85 days till my 10 year ani here! :tada: )

But this blog is supposed to be about Onze here… not that I have a lot to add to his lore with this piece. I kinda just wanted to draw him being happy and doing aquatic things. Sometimes a piece isn’t all that deep :sweat_smile: .

So… yeah… let me know if ya’ll are interested in seeing more aquatic folks in honor of Mer-May, or what else you’d want to see…. if not- it’ll be onto SW5e content for the foreseeable future.
