Âme Rha’Dura
Ahbee’s “father”
Greetings one and all! Welcome to my latest art blog! Today I bring you Âme Rha’Dura- the man who Ahbee calls father. This is the first time I’ve drawn the Star Wars version of him. So I’m excited.
Âme is… not the best of people. Not by a long shot. He lives on Nar Shadaa for a reason. Several reasons to be honest.
His relationship with his wife is… less than healthy. How ever she’s never been a healthy woman, so now at this point he feels obligated to keep her. Yes, keep her- he does very much view her as a possession. Which at its heart is the problem with his relationship with Ahbee.
Âme very much has an inferiority complex. He’s got a brother, Dax, who’s the golden child of the family, and not just in the family. But we’ll talk about him more when he eventually gets his own design.
Âme never really gave his daughter a chance- to look at her in any parental manner. Before she even came into the world, he suspected her mother- his wife- had cheated on him. However he never confronted her about it- instead letting those feelings fester and stew. He hated the idea that something of his, was not truly his- but he also could not stand to address it and find that out for certain.
So he hated his daughter. From the moment she was born she was nothing more to him than a reminder that he never found himself good enough. Time did not make this better- especially when he hadn’t given Ahbee a sibling- increasing and making all his doubts and self loathing worse.
If you asked him, he’d claim that he did all the right things, feeding her, giving her a roof over her head, ect- but he woudn’t really be being honest. As a baby Ahbee’s care was mostly taken care of by her mother when she could, and her paternal grandmother when she could not- whom she lost at a young age.
He did as little as he could for her. Making her grow up fast and never wanting to be home. He even tried to sell her while she was still a child- but Ahbee had a viscious and stubborn streak in her, and potential buyers saw a problem with a frail child having so much fight- she’d not survive long enough to be worth the cost.
This didn’t stop him from trying again though, multiple times. But Ahbee had no problem taking to the streets by this point. Running, hiding, and if need be fighting with everything she had. She wasn’t a good fighter- she was just a child after all. However the hassle it would be worth the price her father set… she just wasn’t worth it… and Âme was very angry with her for it.
I won’t go into the details- but he gave Ahbee every reason to live as a street-rat as often as possible. However Âme, and his family do have power. Âme hated that half of it was because of his brother’s influence- but that didn’t stop him from using it, which would on occasion force Ahbee home. She was, after all, something that belonged to him, as far as he was concerned at least.
There was a day that he unwittingly set most of Ahbee and Patches story into motion. A day when they were both still children, that some Jedi had come to town. Pulled in to help handle some petty thievery that they had no interest in- until they realized two force sensitive children lay at the heart of the incident.
They asked Âme, if he would let them take Ahbee, and train her in the ways of the Jedi. Âme- gave them a price they did not have any authorization to agree to. Because of his brother Dax, they also had no wish to piss him off and possibly their alliances. So when they left, they only took Patches with them, and Ahbee would not learn the truth of the matter in well over a decade to come.
In adulthood, Ahbee would leave him and her mother as much as she could, and he would still struggle with this…. until there was a rather violent incident that Ahbee had been the center of. He didn’t make a peep when a Sith took her off world- for him to never see his eldest again, because of the circumstances surrounding the incident. He didn’t want that on his reputation after all.
Years later, he’d become a father once more. This time, he did not have doubts about being the father. However, word of how he had treated Ahbee in her youth had started to spread, as gossip might when someone leaves after such a big spectacle.
It got at least to his brother’s and his nephew’s ears. So Ace (his nephew), got in with Ahbee (now Darth Aria) and let her know Âme would have another child in his care soon. The pair was never close- but occasionally nowadays they’d share gossip, or exchange favors, after all it was convient.
Ace, like his father, had a far better reputation than Âme. None of them were persay good people behind the scenes. But Ace and Dax did not feel Âme deserved to have another child in his care- but their hands were also tied, not being able to be the ones to remove the child either.
However Darth Aria was informed-so while Livia was still but a babe, she went and kidnapped the baby. Not being able to raise her herself, for fear of what her Sith Master would do- she left them at a Jedi temple. Âme would eventually learn enough to know where his golden child went- but by then it was too late, and the Jedi would not give her up.
Eventually, after that point, out drinking together, Dax would let it slip to Âme that it was very likely his first daughter that had originally kidnapped the second. And Âme would not take that well at all…
But what- could he possibly do, against a Sith to make them pay?

I had finished this art before I put my poll up, so should Ahbee’s relatives win out, there will be more to come soon- especially among those mentioned in this blog. I’m looking forward to fleshing them all out for that.
Did ya’ll like the bigger info dump that came along with the art this time? Is that something you’d like to see more of in my art blogs? Let me know, so I can adjust accordingly. I can ramble on and on and on about my characters if given half the chance- even the ones I know barely anything about XD.
I hope you all enjoyed the art, and the character info dump that I gave. Some details are a little vague as I’m still working them out, or did not want to include details that focused too much on other characters. And of course, as always:
May the force be with you!
