Re-Booking Johnny Gargano’s Main Roster Run [Part 5]

RAW: November 28th, 2022

Johnny Gargano opens up Monday night RAW, and receives a grand ovation from the fans. After the grueling submission match he had with Bobby Lashley, to definitively finish their feud, it seems that Gargano can add this achievement to his repertoire. Once the WWE Universe’s chants die down a bit, Gargano brings the microphone up to himself. He says that if it wasn’t for the from the fans, he wouldn’t have been able to build up enough grit and resilience to get the job done over Lashley. Gargano knew he had to win this feud, if he wanted to move onto bigger things. Specially, with the Royal Rumble coming up. Though, he wasn’t exactly confident that he could get the win in this instance. However, all of the he got from everyone just.. Pushed him to reach his limits, which catapulted him into victory. He just can’t thank everyone enough, for that moment.

Moving on though, the Royal Rumble is coming up hot and fast. Gargano expresses his dreams of winning the big one, to book himself a ticket for the main event at WrestleMania. Wouldn’t everyone want that? The fans loudly cheer, one more time, expressing their opinion.

Unfortunately, things get dull as The Miz’s music sounds off in the arena. Soon after, The Miz comes out from the stage with microphone in hand. Instead of walking towards the ring, Miz decides to stay on stage. Miz tries to speak, but the crowd doesn’t allow him to. The boo’s begin to fill the arena, but Miz doesn’t care. He tells them to shut up, and decides to ignore another wave of boo’s. Miz directs his eyesight towards Gargano, and bluntly states that ever since Gargano came back to WWE.. He’s gotten opportunities over those who have worked their asses off for far longer. He’s been put over, just because he is Triple H’s favorite toy. The quote-on-quote ‘prodigal son.’

Gargano interrupts him, and tells Miz that he’s definitely ‘one to talk.’ All the opportunities he’s gotten in his career, came with help. Of course, Miz is definitely a future legend and has been a World champion. Nonetheless, his reigns as WWE champion have been nothing but a fluke. He got his ass handed to Drew Mcintyre, one or two weeks later. What a memorable moment, indeed. Obviously, Gargano is aware that he has a great relationship with Triple H. Though, he had to earn that. All of his accomplishments, he earned through hard work and dedication. Which is why, he’s a legend over on NXT.

Once again, Miz speaks up and says that being a ‘legend’ on NXT doesn’t mean anything in the main roster. That just proves that the only place he can thrive in, is in a indy developmental setting. If Gargano really wants to become an overall legend, like Miz himself, then why not have a match between each other for next week? Gargano doesn’t hesitate, and accepts Miz’s challenge.

RAW: December 5th, 2022

The Miz vs. Johnny Gargano

Winner: Johnny Gargano

Gargano finds himself on the mat, kneeling. He isn’t given much time to recover, since Miz grabs him by the neck and brings him down with a ‘Snap DDT.’ Gargano collides with the mat, face-first. Miz goes for the cover.

Another kick out by Gargano! Miz slams both of his hands repeatedly on the mat, frustrated that he can’t get the job done. Once again, Miz goes to grab Gargano. However, Gargano plays possum and gets Miz down for a roll-up pin!

Gargano gets the win here, while Miz is in a state of shock and anger! The fans cheer as the referee lifts one of Gargano’s up to the sky. Though, the celebration is quickly interrupted by Miz’s low-blow to Gargano. The referee tries to get Miz to calm down, but he isn’t listening. He rather shoves the referee aside so that he can get some stomps on Gargano. Nonetheless, that’s not enough punishment. Miz stops with his stomps so that he can go outside of the ring, and he looks under the apron so that he can pull out- A ladder? Oh no, Miz wants to put Gargano away. He wants to injure him.

Miz brings the ladder inside, and wastes no time on opening the ladder so that he can put Gargano’s right arm on it. Miz don’t do this. Anger gets the best of Miz either way, because he slams the other part of the ladder to collide with Gargano’s arm. Repeatedly. He only stops, until enough security comes out to neutralize him. Meanwhile, the medical staff and Adam Pearce tend to a hurting Gargano.

RAW: December 12th, 2022

Segment; The Miz

Welcome everyone to another edition of Miz TV! Where the main star of this episode is.. Miz himself! The crowd is just not having it this time, because of how cynical Miz is acting right now. This makes Miz smile, and so he continues to talk. In this episode, Miz wants to talk about what occurred last week in his match against Gargano. Yes, he lost but via a roll-up pin. Not even by a legitimate pin, where he’d be knocked out! Of course, Gargano celebrated as if he had won the lottery. So, Miz saw it fit to mess with him and attack him after the match. Honestly, Miz confesses that injuring Gargano just felt SO right.

Out comes Gargano, and the fans erupt in excitement! Despite that their hero has fallen to an injury, he still made an effort to show up and shut Miz up. Gargano says that no one gives nor is giving a crap, about this whole tantrum. A pin is a pin, so if Miz is that stressed about losing to him.. Then that seems like a personal problem. So much of a problem, that’s cost his body. Gargano reveals that he visited the doctor the day after RAW, and the doctor said that Miz’s attack on his arm made sure to dislocate it. It’s nothing too serious, but he’ll definitely be sidelined for a couple of weeks. The fans surely make it known that they’re disappointed with these news.

Although, Gargano makes an interesting statement. Whenever he comes back, it’ll definitely be before the Royal Rumble. When that time comes, he’ll be fit enough not just for the Rumble.. But to once again kick Miz’s ass for good. So, Miz better enjoy these next few weeks without Gargano. Once he comes back, it’s gonna be all over for Miz.

RAW: January 2nd, 2023

The Miz vs. Elias

Winner: The Miz

The referee calls for the bell, and Miz already runs towards Elias for a big boot to the face. Elias falls to the mat, but he’s not getting any breathing moment to recover. Miz already has him up on his feet, so that he can irish whip Elias to a nearby corner. Now that Elias is situated on the corner, Miz runs towards him once again and hits the ‘Awesome Clothesline.’ From the impact, Elias walks forward but doesn’t go down. This just sets Miz up to get behind Elias, and grab both of his arms up for the ‘Skull Crushing Finale.’

Miz is victorious, in the most fashionable and fastest of ways- Oh my God.. Miz doesn’t realize it, but a returning Gargano is standing behind him! Miz doesn’t get why the WWE Universe is cheering, until he turns around only to be greeted by a ‘superkick’ to the face. Courtesy by Gargano himself! Well, it looks like Gargano has fully healed up and is ready to bring some more mayhem to Miz.
