Theme song: Ghosts - Ladytron

Paprika doesn’t like people that much, she keeps a few friends and that’s good enough for her. If anyone tries to interact with her, she’ll ignore them or act hostile, you don’t pick her, she picks you. She just feels like nobody understands her or ever gives her a chance.
She never learns from her mistakes the first time, she usually sees if she can make things better over multiple tries before giving up. You could say she’s insane.
“If I’m gonna learn shit, it’s gonna be the hard way”.
She’s not afraid to physically attack people, even if she’ll get in trouble for it. If you say or do something she doesn’t like, she’ll gladly sock you. She rolls her eyes at every punishment she gets (yes, she’s in debt for all kinds of things).
When it comes to personal hygiene, she doesn’t take very good care of herself. She doesn’t brush her fur, makes no effort to hide the scars on her face, and only takes a couple showers a month.
“Not trying to impress anyone, whuz the point”.
She lives in the basement of one of her girlfriend’s, or at least a prior one. They used to be close friends, until she became a crippling alcoholic, so they don’t interact much anymore. How she hasn’t gotten evicted yet is beyond her.
The basement itself is underwhelming. Bare concrete floors and walls, a few leaky pipes here and there, and the only light sources are a couple light bulbs strung from the ceiling. There’s a cot, a chair, a large table surrounded by a couple cabinets and a counter, and an old rattling fridge mindlessly strewn around the floor, it kinda resembles a home, I guess.
Paprika doesn’t mind much, it’s better than the rotting shed she grew up in.
She only really started to indulge in cannibalism once meeting a gang of the same interest. She was 14 at the time, working at her auntie’s bakery; who’m was pregnant and needed some extra help. She enjoys baking very much, and considered it her dream job. She didn’t have many friends, except for a girl her age that’d come around to the bakery and chat with her; a german shepard named Donelle. One day, Donelle asked her if she’d like to her baking club
“Well, since you’re so good at baking and all, I thought you’d fit right in! You can ask your auntie to have a day off”.
It sounded like fun, so Paprika decided to give it a go.
When she got there, everything seemed fairly normal. The were nice enough, if not a bit odd, but she did feel at home with them.
But things took a sharp turn when it came to actually becoming a member.
To get in, one needed to partake in cannibalism.
They became more and more aggressive, pressuring her into ing, but it didn’t take much effort. Paprika wanted friends, and without any prior knowledge of friendship, she decided to follow their ways.
She’s been a part of it ever since, but now most of the have either died from diseases when not preparing their meat properly, died from drug overdose, got arrested, or are still around, but don’t interact anymore. The only one Paprika still has a relationship with is a corgi named Klara, he’s taking therapy and recovering, but sometimes comes to visit her in prison.
Paprika was able to run from the police for while, but was eventually caught, on of unpaid charges and murder. She would not cooperate at all; assaulting inmates and guards, and nearly scaling the prison walls at one point. Eventually, she was placed into a private ward, and was scheduled to meet a counsellor; a chicken named Basil.
On the first day, she refused to cooperate. She’d sit in the corner and sulk, if Basil asked her something, she’d just shrug.
One day, Basil took their counselling to the kitchen
“I heard you like baking, so I thought maybe we could get to know each other more by doing something you like”.
Paprika perked up. Nobody had made in effort to get to know her ever since Donelle and Klara, and she likes Klara very much.
“Maybe she’s not as bad as I’m making her out to be, I… I suppose I could give her a change”.
