Heeyo guys and gals, eez mi Cr3m[ısıs] ( can you don't pls? ) and today I'm doing a collab ( is It a collab or a response blog? Idk ) with JOJ to a topic that probably many people won't even notice or consider because that kind of people that will see this character are so settled in their ways, that they ain't letting it a chance to prove Jr is actually decent and they'll put it pre-instinctively low-tier in every existant tier list, because everybody does it.
But JOJ, in his blog "Bowser Jr Sucks", didn't do the same mistake and was actually pretty accurate on describing Jr's main flaws. So here in this blog, I'll be describing all Jr's main strenghts to keep the positivity up to this really underrated character with a LOT of potential.

1) Combo Game

In JOJ's blog, he tells that if you do a side-b and the opponent shields, Jr will have a lot of problem trying to start a combo or even worse get punished for trying to approach the opponent. But here's the mindblowing fact:

Ye It's crazy I know.
But talking seriously, there are many ways Bowser Jr can start a combo: there's the mechakoopa that can start a combo ( if it's on the ground or not it doesn't matter ), a well placed d-air, a grab ( believe it or not, up-throw can lead to mixups and true followups ) and even spinouts.
And not only that, his combo game is really solid because with only one combo, you can deal to 30 or even 50% of damage with only three moves plus, since Jr's combo game is really versatile, you can create a lot of mix-ups and still manage to kill, thanks to his 50/50 setups and powerful aerials and smash attacks.

2) Tilts and aerials

Thanks to Jr's good air mobility, big disted hitboxes and little start lag ( this applies mostly for tilts ), his aerials and tilts are something amazingly powerful that you can always rely with. For example: his d-tilt starts in frame 4 and is a disted multi-hit move, useful for spacing just like Jr's frame 7 f-tilt.
And not only that, but his aerials have also decent kill power, juggling and combo potential with n-air and b-air being also the only aerials you can lock opponents with. Jr's f-air, d-air and b-air are also great for spacing opponents since they have medium/low start lag, they have disted hitboxes and at low/mid percent they can combo into itselves and other stuff ( like an up-tilt for example ).

3) Special attacks

All his special attacks ( except his neutral B ) are a big part of his neutral and, even if many people say that because of side-b and up-b, Jr's is not only predictable but also a Sonic clone, his up-b, side-b and down-b ( mostly his down-b ) are what makes Bowser Jr an unique and complicated character.
His side-b is his most powerful combo starter: it has a ton of true follow-ups to a lot of moves and at a high percent (80%), it can follow-up into the hammer for a kill or a frame trap ( yes, the hammer can frame trap ).
His up-b is amazing too: he has a pretty powerful explosion coming out of the clowncart and, most importantly, it allows you to use the hammer, one of the most powerful if not the most powerful move on Jr's arsenal. This move itself allows for some pretty useful techniques and setups, it can frame trap, shieldbreak, platform cancel, you can also hit the opponent twice with that move! So it's a move that your opponent definitively has to be careful with if he doesn't want to lose a stock.

4) Mechakoopa

Bowser Jr's down B is the only projectile that can walk on his own and it allows to create unique combos, amazing ledge traps and footstool setups.
I explained in my blog "Tips on how to play Jr" how to deal with patient opponents taking the mechakoopa on their advantage, but even if the opponent can pick It, and even if It takes some time to move after the down-b, it doesn't mean the move is bad.
The versatility of this move isn't something I can describe that easily to you so if you want some more details about this mazy topic, you should really check these content made not only by me but also made by an amazing Jr player called StepCat.

I get bored with most characters after a while so I've played the whole cast to a mediocre level. I'll be honest here, Bowser Jr. Is a beast despite his flaws.

I also think that bowser jr is in a higher tier but i dont think hes that good. Hes has a realy cool play style tho!
