Chapter 27:

Primrose: Two months before Keslie’s first birthday, Grayson and I made the decision to get her a horse. We noticed that she preferred her horse stuffy over her dog stuffy, so that's how we made our decision. We wanted her to be able to grow up with a best friend.

Grayson: “Do you think she'll like her?”

Primrose: “She'll love her Gray. She's beautiful.”

Primrose: “Keslie, Momma and Papa have a little surprise for you.”

Keslie: “abalalama?”

Grayson: “Do you like the horsey Kes?”

Primrose: “This is your horse sweetheart”

Keslie: “Ookoe! Ookoe!”

Grayson: “Is that what you want to name the horse? Cookie?”

Primrose: “Cookie it is then. She’s your horsey, Keslie.”

Keslie:“Yay! Ookoe!”

Primrose: “Alright, let’s let Keslie meet Cookie properly. Want to pet the horsy, Kes?”

Keslie: “Sof! Sof!”

Primrose: “That’s right, sweetheart, Cookie is soft.”

Grayson: “Looks like Keslie already has a best friend.”

Primrose:“Just like we hoped.”

Primrose: “Gray, do you think we made the right choice? She’s so young, and Cookie is so big.”

Grayson: “We’ll be here to guide her every step. Besides, Cookie’s gentle and already seems to adore her.”

Keslie:“Hah! Ookoe!”

Primrose: “She’s fearless, isn’t she?”

Grayson: “Just like her mom.”

Grayson: “Do you think she’ll want to ride Cookie one day?”

Primrose: “Absolutely. She already looks like she’s planning it.”

Keslie:“Ookoe mie!”

Primrose: “That’s right, baby girl, Cookie is yours.”

Primrose: “I can’t wait to see her grow up with Cookie. Maimeó would’ve loved this.”

Grayson: “She’d be so proud of you, Prim.”
