This poem reflects my sense of life, because I’m the type of person who gets caught up in what’s happening right in front of me and sometimes I forget about all the hate and violence that goes on in the rest of the world. Which often results in me being called naive, because I can be.

So I wrote this poem about a couple (two females because I’m a pansexual female) and how one wants to escape from all the hate that is being thrown at them during this time of year.

Me personally a safe place is solitude in a field or just nature in general so I incorporated that into this poem as well.
