Sitting in the porch

What if's that just keeps repeating
What if I never let you go
What if we were still together
What if I was a better child
What if I was a better sibling
A better person a better friend
Until I closed my eyes
As countless thoughts run through my mind
I saw a bird flying high
Soaring up the sky
Free from everything
That reminded me to just let go
