I've finally let go

So in conclusion

Everything I believed in

Was only a delusion

I choose not to wear

My past on my sleeve

Because it doesn't define me

That I'll never believe

I'm shedding my skin

I'm folding my cards

I shattered the glass balloon

That rains clear crystal shards

I cannot believe

That I was in that place

I never should have let go

And given up on the chase

The story of me

Will now be rewritten

With an ending of my own

And not a poison apple bitten

I've finally let go

Of everything that held me back

And now no longer

Do certain places lack

Now no longer

Do I cry to sleep at night

Because I've built myself stronger

Such a vulnerable sight
