Dark Alleys

I’ve sang an ode to the gods,

Gambled my fate with sweet-mellifluous words

A hapless life, where my love always ended tragically

I was wandering alone close to rocky-cliffs

Near the ocean, where sea-snails were packing the shining-sand

Pondering about the universe wonders

And how in order to survive, a sacrifice is needed

All the tribute I’d offer to Hades and Persephone,

To take me in their azure yet enlivening embrace

At last, become one with the darkness

All the pain I’d feel for existing

Vanishing from my sight as I finally

take off my facade, and burst at candlelight

Venomous honey dripping from my lips

Feeling safe and sound in the dark alleys of my mind
