I feel the serenity of my mind with each striking waves

The once chaotic heartbeats slow down to match the calm blue hues of the moonlight

The memory of good times and the laughter & joy I sought out once

I feel it deep in my heart after it was long lost from my soul

When you came and crashed your enticing lips on my skin

I was of golden neon, flashing and burning in desire

Your color was a close shade to poison black, dull and empty

Raging but cold at the same time, a mixture stronger than any rum

I let you intoxicate my soul with lies that tasted like midnight fantasy

We were just two bodies connected together at that time

And darling, I wish I could forget how your fingers interlocked mine

Because at that moment, it felt like you were the one

The one to soothe my scars that don’t seem to go away

But you had the seeds of the big bad wolf planted in your heart

How can the villain heal my heart when it’s his job to break it?
