realize that they’re not in their

own dorms anymore.

this looks like some kind of movie they’ve

seen   before.   except, how do

they get back and where even

are they?

"Hey, what's this on your shelf?", Nayeon said holding a CD.

"I almost forgot about that. I bought it long time ago but I didn't have time to watch it.", Jeongyeon said.

"Let's watch it!", Sana squeaked.

"Yeah. I can't sleep so might as well watch that.", Mina said.

"Hai!", Sana jumped out of the bed and opened the old dvd player.

It is still raining cats and dogs outside and as Jeongyeon and Jihyo finished making their snacks, the movie also started.

"I haven't heard of this movie, where did you even get this?", Dahyun complained.

"It doesn't matter, let's just watch this.", Jeongyeon said.

Their eyes were fixed to the movie. The movies was all about girls who were friends but they all like the same man, typical high school girls, but the man didn't like any of them and continue to ignore them.

It was already midnight and the rain was pouring harder every minute and the skies were forming loud roar of the thunders and lightnings. Suddenly, a thunder struck at the middle of the city where Jeongyeon's house is located. The electricity line got cut off all over the city. The TV screen turned black and everyone was hoarding around Jeongyeon.

"I'll get the flashlight.", Jeongyeon assured them.

"Wait. The TV is glitching, look.", Tzuyu pointed at the TV screen.

"Ah right. I'll turn it off.", Jeongyeon said and went towards the TV to unplug it but to her shock, the TV stopped glitching and there revealed a man with an alien mask, or so, who was sitting that seemed like a gaming chair.

"What the--", Jeongyeon uttered.

"Welcome to the game, girls.", the man said behind the screen and let out a devilish laugh.

"Turn that off, Jeongyeon!", Nayeon shouted.

"I already did!"

"This is not funny anymore. Stop with the pranks, Jeongyeon.", Jihyo said.

"It wasn't me!", Jeongyeon said but then the man spoke again.

"I know you're wondering who I am? But first look outside again..."

Momo looked at the others with a shock look on her face.

"Uh...This is not your house, Jeongyeon."

"What do you mean??", Jeongyeon asked.

They all turned their heads to the man again who's now snickering.

"I am Matrix 003 and I am here to introduce and explain the rules of this game."

"Game?", Mina asked.

"Signal 0.2 is the name of the game and each of you will have a random ability. There will be three kind of games that you must complete within 100 hours time limit each game. If you fail to complete those three challenges, the whole place will explode with all of you."

"But why us?!", Jihyo shouted but the man ignored her and continued talking.

"For the first challenge. The MMORPG. You have to defeat LVL. 99 boss but each of you will start of by lvl. 1 The only way to level up is to defeat other monsters inside the game. But be careful, once you run out of HP, you will be eliminated in and out of the game. Which means you will die in real world also. That's all information I have to give you.", he said before the TV finally turned black again.

"This is a just a dream, right?", Sana asked while looking at them.

"How did we even got inside of this?", Momo.

Suddenly, words and numbers illuminated above the hands.

"I know this...I played MMORPG a lot of times.", Mina said.

"Are you sure we will play this? I don't want to die...", Tzuyu said.

"We have to.", Nayeon said.

While they were checking out the features of the game, a mail arrived at their inboxes.

"There. I have hypnosis. What have you got?", Mina said.

They all checked their profiles.

They spent hours of practicing their abilities until the night came. They already gathered supplies which they will need to haunt down nearby monsters.

"I'm tired...", Jihyo said.

"What happened to us..", Dahyun sighed.

"According to the data the boss is level 99 but there's no information about the hp of it.", Mina said.

"How many hours left?", Sana asked.

"Here is the location of lvl. 30 monsters, beware of the poison, it will gradually drain your hp so keep your distance to its vines.", Mina explained.

"Alright!", the cheered.

Little did they know, they were being watched by the creator. Sitting in his chair while looking at the countless screens infront of him.

"Enjoying the view, sir?", Matrix 003 said.

"Well, it's no fun at all."

"It will be fun soon."

"I want to go home.", Sana said.

"Me too...", Nayeon said.

"I have to confess something.", Jeongyeon said as she lowers her head.

"What is it, Jeongyeon?", Jihyo asked and they all looked at Jeongyeon.

"I didn't just randomly picked the movie.", Jeongyeon said.

"What do you mean?", Nayeon.

"Someone gave it to me and she told me about this, but I didn't believed her.", Jeongyeon said and suddenly, they all fell into silence.

"It's all my fault why we are trapped here. If only I listened.", Jeongyeon said.

"It's alright. We will get out of this. All of us.", Jihyo assured them.

"Well, this is the last floor.", Mina said.

"Are you sure sure that we will do it now?", Jeongyeon said.

"We are running out of time and besides, there is 9 of us.", Nayeon said.

"There may be only one boss but we have to be careful. Stick with the plan. When you are on your 40% HP, be sure to revitalise first.", Mina said.

The large door opened that revealed the whole dungeon. Mina equipped and protective shield to all of the girls including her and finally, they all entered the boss challenge.

The boss came out with its trident and it aggressively made its continuous attacks. Hours later, they were panting and they were starting to slow down while the boss is getting stringer every hour.

"I c-can't keep up...", Momo who is attacking near the boss.

"Watch out, Momo!", Nayeon said but it's too late. Momo was hit the boss' attack and her HP got lower and lower.

"Nayeon, Quick! Time reverse!", Jeongyeon shouted then guarded Nayeon.

Nayeon reversed the time 5 minutes after the hit. They all went smoothly again until finally Tzuyu got the final hit and they all survived.

They knelt down the ground as they were gasping for air. Their sight became blurry as one by one, they collapsed on the floor unconcious.

The 9 girls woke up and found themselves on the middle of nowhere. No trees, no monsters and no houses can be found but only the 9 girls who were examining the area.

Suddenly, a gunshot almost hit Jeongyeon's arm. Mina already had an idea so she ordered everyone to take cover at a cave up ahead.

"What was that?", Nayeon asked.

"We are at the second part of the challenge and we are in the middle of a battlefield.", Mina answered.

After that, a ray of light illuminated at the cave's wall. The face of the Matrix 003 appeared still in his chair.

"Welcome to the Battle Royale. The rules are simple, you have to eliminate 49 NPC enemies and you cannot revive. There is no time limit but here's the twist. Whoever be the MVP will be save for the third challenge and even if the other girls will fail at the third challenge the MVP will come back to the real world safe...alone."

"Battle Royale?", Tzuyu asked.

Suddenly, items appeared inside the cave. Riffles, guns and grenades were distributed by each of the girls. Their outfit was changed into a battledress.

"I don't know how to play this.", Momo said.

"Me too.", Sana said and the others also doesn't know how to play it.

So, Mina taught them the basics and how to shoot with a gun. Until they heard gunshots outside the cave.

"They're here.", Mina said and ordered them to get down.

Mina pointed a rifle at the incoming enemies and shoot them with ease.

"Let's go."

"Hai!"

Hours later, they completed the 2nd challenge easily. It was a close call for them, their hp were really low. As expected, Mina is the MVP with 18 kills.

As soon as the scored was announced by a illuminated light, the battle field disappeared and so as Mina.

"Hey! Where's Mina?! ", Jeongyeon shouted.

A light iluminated from the ground got back their attention. Jeongyeon hurriedly came infront of it.

"Where's Mina?!"

"I haven't told you? My fault. The MVP won't you for the last challenge. So, let's get back to the game. The last game will be Minesweeper. You only have one chance and if you accidentally activate the bomb. Then boom goes the bomb. But if you're lucky enough to complete it, the game is over with your victory. ", he said and laugh devilishly again.

"I don't know how to play it.", Jeongyeon said while looking at the other girls.

"I do.", Nayeon said.

"You do?", they said.

"Trust me in this one.", she reassured them.

They all nodded in agreement. The ground started shaking and marks started appearing. A shovel and red flags appeared at Nayeon's hands and so they started.

Everything was going smoothly yet they haven't put any red flag on blocks. But each time pick a block, everyone's heart was beating fast because anytime, one of the block might explode. Nayeon was very concentrated, she was playing it with ease in real world but she it is different now that their lives are on the line. One mistake will activate the bombs and she will disappoint her friends.

...and after one block, they all disappeared like a dust.
