Howdy folks!
So my DM has encouraged us to spice up our battles with some flavor text to make it more fun and interesting. Needless to say, I’ve gone full throttle and I’m in the middle of adding some fun descriptions for when my character Lume casts his spells. So it’s got me thinking now...
Do any of you have some fun flavor text for battle? If so, what are they?
I’m also taking this time to share some of my favorite descriptors because if I don’t share them before my session this Saturday, I might combust out of excitement—

Toll the Dead
”Opening the lantern, he blows out the candle inside as the sound of a ing bell tolls.”
Aid
”He opens the door to the lantern and lets the scent of lemon and mint drift out before it drifts over to the party , enveloping them.”
Sanctuary
”Striking his fingers against the lantern like a match, a flame appears at his fingertips before he sends it forward to his party member. The flame separates into eight smaller flames that dance and flicker around the person.”
Without Trace
”He stamps the staff into the ground and a mist-like smoke crawls out from the bottom of it. The smoke wraps around each person's feet, with every step causing a little wisp of smoke to come out that's only visible to those also under the spell.”
Prayer of Healing
”Clasping his hands together, he closes his eyes and says ‘May this bolster your spirit and chase away the nightmares.’”
