Alright, so I've temporarily skipped last week's prompt, but I will get to it eventually. I can't pinpoint the type of monster I want to make for the homebrew. I also tend to overthink several things as well.
I had a few ideas, but one seems so simple that it probably already exists in game or in my other ideas I try to generalize but it doesn't quite work because there's different variations within the monster type I have planned.
Another note about the super simple one, its debatable on if it can even be considered a monster or not. As it doesn't attack out of malicious intent but purely for survival and can't distinguish friends from foes nor does it have any expressible thoughts or emotions. It's a plant that I don't want to over complicate what it can do.

Anyway, this prompt is about a tavern out of many within this world.
In Hughost (hue-ghost), a small run-down town where crime is often left unchecked in the country of Gazarnan, is Marlow's Speakeasy. The first thing you'll notice is that the place may be the most maintained building in town, compared to the neighboring buildings, though not by much. You at least don't have to question if it'll cave in on you, middrink.
The second thing would be the heavy odor of smoke and tabbacco. Along with the stares of the regulars, some probably wonder how much they can rob ya' for, if not something worse. The waitresses aren't ones to be messed with either. Having to live in this town and working at a tavern, they learned to handle themselves and carry protection provided by the tavern owner himself.
The food is pretty decent, considering the ingredients that get shipped in are low quality, most of the time on the verge of expiring. Many have asked, but Marlow won't reveal his secrets as he tells them he'd go out of business if he did. The drinks are mediocre, but no one really complains since it's something to drink other than the stale tasting water.
