So, as a fun thing because life happens, I got sick last week and had to miss Mini Painting Night with my dad.
I am basically back to health, so I went to it tonight with my dad. Luckily, it was nowhere near as loud and people-y today as was my previous experience. I got 3 hours of painting in before I was ready to call it for the day.
I spent most of my time painting this white dragon that I owe my dad. It looks like it's getting closer to done. A few more sessions should do the trick. I really want to give it nice contrasty glowing yellow eyes, but knowing my life, my dad will want the eyes blue like the box art.
So, the story with this mini is that I started it years ago as the redeem of a coupon I gave my dad for father's day. I made progress, got frustrated when I could not acrew a clear vision of what I wanted it to look like when done, and threw it to the back burners of my list of project minis. Believe me, my dad never let me forget that it existed even though I was still stuck in a rut with that particular mini. But apparently, I had ideas to progress it forward coming together within the last couple days.
I also worked on the floating rocks mini today, but I did not photograph it. My bad.
