Well, to explain this better, let me start from the beginning. Last weekend, whilst I was out, my dad heard from one of my local nerd shops that this shop was hoping to get someone in to teach a mini painting sort of drop-in class and had some guy volunteer to do it on Thursdays. My dad and I each expressed to each other interest in attending, and I responded with a "going" on the Facebook event that the shop listed. There were 2 other responses from other people. When my dad and I rolled up to the store an hour after the event had started (It was slotted to go for 3 hours) and we were the first and only people to show up to the first mini paint night. Not even the guy who was supposed to be leading the event and booked the time slot with the store showed up!
Anyway, I had a lovely 2 hours painting minis with my dad where we just chatted between ourselves and enjoyed the tunes the store played. I got some somewhat noticeable progress. I do still hope to go again next week and try to get this mini painting night to become a thing. Maybe more people will show up. I purpled my first layer on my purple worm, greened up an orc and painted more of his armor, and added a dramatic highlight to the magic rocks terrain piece.

Here's a better size reference, I think, plus progress shot

Forgot how tall Nightwalkers are. Lovely paint on it and that orc as well!
