My brothers got a Chinese go pro clone we were messing with today. Zip tied it to the XR70 and rode around the yard to experiment with camera angles and whatnot. It does a decent job, excellent quality picture but doesn’t like changes in light. Is this typical with go pro style action cameras or just the off brand ones? That leads me into my next question, what about editing? Any recommendations for free video editing software? I’m not looking for pro quality video I just want to rotate the video so I don’t have to hold my head at 90 degrees to watch it :joy: . If there’s a way to lessen the effects of changes in light that’d be helpful but I’m not overly concerned. I’d post some of the shots we got but I’m having issues getting videos from my laptop to my phone. Once COVID lessens up I’ll try to film some real rides. Dont currently have a running dirt bike (unless the XR70 counts as a dirt bike, or running for that matter) but I’m looking at some non traditional options right now and no, it’s not another ebike. I’ll update y’all on that once a plans together but right now it’s just an idea. Hoping to throw something together for the summer. Until then I may film some truck and ATV stuff and maybe the Harley if I’m able to get out.
Anyone film their rides?

I’m a new YouTuber and know a thing or 2 about cameras and filming
You have any recommendations for editing software? What’s your youtube? I don’t watch YouTube often but I’ll give you a follow if nothing else.
I have both an SJ cams and a Gopro hero 6. Got both at an extremely good price and heres my thoughts. The knock off does a great job. Not the best but will help capture the moments. The go pro on the other hand is a dream. It's one of those things where until you have it, you dont know what you're missing out on
Good to know. We’ll probably keep messing with the knockoff for now and try to find a deal on a go pro later on.
Thanks.
Sorry if this isn’t fully relevant to the amino. If not allowed then tell me and take it down. If there’s an amino better suited to these questions point me to it but I figured this isn’t completely off subject and off-roaders are more likely to know about videoing this type stuff than the typical photographer crowd.
