My dads at winch options for a CJ2A that has a 262 swapped in it, told him I’d help research that. What size would y’all recommend and any preference to brand? He’s looking at offbrands right now because he’s trying to keep cost down

The rule of thumb is, weigh the rig, and double the capacity for the winch. If the jeep weighs 4000, then you would want an 8000 pound winch
