Heartbreak is tough thing to deal with as your lefted wondering what I could've done to win the race or championship that was your for taking but Lady luck wouldn't dance with you and on today's 1st episode of Heartbreak Iook back on the 2012 Goody's Fast Relief 500 is the race that started my burning hatred of Clint Bowyer while breaking my heart for both of my two all-time favorite drivers and delayed Hendrick Motorsports 200th win for couple more months in race that Hendrick Motorsports could've won that 200th race very early than expected.
Jeff Gordon started the race in 9th place and Jimmie Johnson would start the race in 22nd place for Goody's Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville as Jeff Gordon immediately challenged for race lead while leading 207 of the first 232 laps of the race. Jimmie Johnson was marred in traffic after starting 22nd in the race then climbed into the top 10 by lap 70 but speeding penalty would sent him to back of the pack which made him climb through the race after restarting 21st while returning back into top 10 by lap 221.
Jeff Gordon would surrender the race lead during Green Flag pitstop's but managed to retain the race lead at conclusion then proceeded to lead the next 115 of the next 116 laps of the race which pushed his grand total to 322 laps lead. Jimmie Johnson would stay inside the top 10 as 48 was currently running in 10th position after restarting on outside line but luckily Jimmie was able to climb through the field from 10th as manged to get inside the top 5 by lap 285 then found himself sitting in 2nd place right behind teammate Jeff Gordon before the 4th caution came out.
Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson would restart 1st and 2nd but Jeff Gordon still show he was superior car while Jimmie Johnson stayed right behind him as 48 battled fellow teammate Dale Earnhardt Jr for 2nd place which allowed Jeff Gordon to increase his lead. Jimmie Johnson was able to catch Jeff Gordon as lap traffic was taking toll on 24 car but heading turn 1 Jimmie Johnson would Jeff Gordon for race lead then proceeded to lead the next 7 laps before losing race lead to Denny Hamlin during pitstop during yellow flag as both Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon were now chasing Denny Hamlin for race lead which allowed Hamlin lead the next 30 laps while Jimmie and Jeff were running 2nd and 3rd on racetrack.
Jimmie Johnson would Denny Hamlin on lap 393 then proceeded to lead the next 104 laps of the race while Jeff Gordon remained in 2nd place trying to chase down Jimmie Johnson but lap traffic was preventing Jeff from chasing Jimmie down but with 4 laps to go Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson were racing side by side heading down frontstrech as Jeff Gordon would Jimmie Johnson right as David Reutimann's car stall on racetrack while bringing out caution which forced Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson to stay out during yellow Flag while other lead lap cars came down pitroad. Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson would lead the field down to restart on old tire while Clint Bowyer who won race off pitroad would restarted 3rd on fresh tires but heading into turn 1 Clint Bowyer was given push by Ryan Newman which sent him 3 wide with Gordon and Johnson but none of them survived as Johnson backed into wall while Jeff Gordon was able to continue moving after using Clint Bowyer as leverage which lefted him in 6th place but his car would run out of gas during yellow Flag which forced him to get pushed back down pitroad while falling 1 lap down as both Jeff and Jimmie had to watch Ryan Newman win the race as both Johnson and Gordon finished 12th and 14th respectively after leading combined 440 laps of the race.
Jeff Gordon had best car throughout the day while Jimmie Johnson had to battle through adversity to get into contention with Jeff Gordon but the altering caution affected both there shots of winning in the race that Hendrick Motorsports could've captured there 200th win.

David Reutimann should be the one to blame. He didn't even try to make it to pit road, and stopped on track
Fair point but the reason he stayed on the racetrack was due to him trying to beat Dave Blaney so he could lock the 10 car into the next race by sitting inside the top 35 in points

He wasn't going to do that going 40 MPH, while cars are going by him at 120 MPH

The 10 team told David to stay on racetrack but nascar did issue him warning to speed up
The end of race was heartbreaking as a Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon fan.
Same it was very gut wrenching for both sides and this race kickoff my hatred of certain someone during the process
