The Paint Scheme That Never Raced Episode 76 - 1999 BAR 01

BAR was making some huge strides heading into the 1999 Formula One season as the team managed to sign 1997 F1 world drivers champion Jacques Villeneuve away from Williams Racing and signed young prospect Ricardo Zonta to drive alongside him. The British American Racing F1 team had ambitions of making an impact during their first full-time season in the sport, and the organization had belief they could make a big impact on and off the Formula One circuit. The newly formed BAR F1 team would unveil two very unique cars during their car launch as both vehicles had different designs that fitted their 2 sponsors that were gonna be driven throughout the 1999 F1 season. Unfortunately, the FIA immediately denied BAR the opportunity to run both liveries during the 1999 season, which led to the team combining the two designs into one, but unfortunately, the change didn't provide much good luck as the team failed to score points in 1999.
