Hello!

We just wanna hear from YOU guys if you're enjoying our Theme Weekend Event!

Since this recent Otome Theme seemed to really kick off well, it sparked a question in me.

Do s want more domestic themes? Do they want seasonal themes? Might be good to ask!

So! This is also the place where you can suggest theme ideas for future use, so they don't get lost in a sea of chat messages!

For past events, please check our Official Archive here!

Something for extremely rare pairs and way underrated characters because they all deserve love.

There's so many interesting ideas in this comment section so I decided to compile a list of the ones that I like the best. Personally, I like original content so I guess that falls under the category 'domestic' because I enjoy AUs.

1. Fashion theme weekend focusing on in real life brands and styles. E.g. sport brands or high-end brands, and 'grunge' etc. As a writer you could center your piece around the fashion industry like the PR and corporate aspects and think of the theme weekend as an au, or stay true to the manga by giving the CCs brand and commercial deals (which is canonically an aspect of the life as a Pro Hero). I feel like there's also a lot of possibilities for the editors and cosplayers.

2. A theme weekend focusing on a modern time period. Something like a 'throwback' or (possibly) 'time machine' theme weekend' for e.g. the 80's, 90's or 2000's. I think it's a really wide idea that allows for a lot of diversity since each period had its own culture, key events, and (food/fashion/music) trends.

3. Pro Heroes. I love the idea of having a theme weekend built just around deg your own Hero costume, but that does seem to cater more to the artists than the cosplayers, editors, and writers (since it e.g. could take a really long time, and a lot money, for a cosplayer to produce an outfit). So, Pro Hero theme weekend would be a broader option. You could promote your favorite Pro Hero or re-design the CCs into what you think or hope that they will be/look like as a pro. There's a lot of possibilities.

4. Memes. I know it sounds like a joke, but I'm serious about it. Drawing memes, editing memes, or cosplaying memes is very doable, and so is incorporating it into writing since a lot of memes are text based. You could throw in lines from memes or write out a whole scenario. I think a meme theme weekend would be pretty interesting. Some of the pros would be that it allows for a lot of creativity and is a really humorous theme unlike many others (even if there's a lot of ‘sad’ memes too). The con would be making sure that the edits are original and not just ripped off the internet.

5. Shinto/Japanese folklore au. Because I'm a sucker for history and fantasy which is kind of the epitome of mythology if you think about it. The general idea is similar to option 2 on my list. Just with a whole other atmosphere and feel to it.
