Hello! Today, I will be introducing you to my background blowup character, Hajime Shimoda! You can find her in Season 2 Episode 15 of the anime. No bio to be found, and not a line on the script..!

                      ଽ ⇛ Hajime-はじめ Japanese, Beginning. Shimoda-下田 Japanese, Gawking Rice Field.

                       ଽ ⇛ Hajime is half Japanese, and half American. Her father being from the west. She took her mother’s last name, out of respect.

                        ଽ ⇛ Birthday! Hajime is born November 23, making her a shy Sagittarius :)

                        ଽ ⇛ Sixteen, first year in UA class! Shimoda aspires to help along side great inventors some day. Allowing them to harness her quirk and use it to create some top notch weaponry.

🌪- Olive green eyes, commonly getting jabs from peers on how wide they appear.

🌪- Lightly blonde dusted dirty hair. She keeps it short, just above the collarbone, for easier quirk access.

🌪- Body type could be described as a lean, semi flat hourglass. This leads to a bit of self conscious thoughts when entering UA, and overthinking.

🌪-she’s got a very sort of nonchalant ‘don’t care’ fashion sense. Commonly throwing on whatever was accessible and casually styling it. Aesthetics however, Hajime has got an interesting.. lipstick lesbian bedroom decor.

                       ଽ ⇛ Shimoda would be described as ‘too busy for a social life’ that type of girl who’s never around. And if she was, she was just in her head the entire time. Commonly anxious about her loved ones, school assignments, or her overall well-being. She does however, keep two close best friends. Those whom will confide in her, Hajime being an amazing listener.

                          ଽ ⇛ it’s not that she doesn’t enjoy social interaction, just doesn’t have time between throwing herself into studies and inventions. Seeing her walk down the school hallways, If you’d said something, Hajime would give a smile and conversation. If not, she’s just as content with those embroidered sneakers attached to her feet.

‹ | Quirk: All To Me.

‹ | 𓏭 All To Me can be described as a manipulation quirk. With a few swift movements of Hajime’s hands, air and dust particles previously too small to be seen will come flying straight onto a certain appendage of hers. Once her suctioning hands draw in enough of the air filth, they will collectively form into the selected weapon on her arm, leg, or in some occasions head. A favorite assault item being what she calls the Earth Bender Katana. It was a silly name created by her dad when the quirk first developed, at age eight. Also impression-ed by her father, Shimoda will scream out “ALL TO ME” before yanking the particles from their rightful eco-system. Hence the power’s name.

‹ | 𓏭 now while her quirk seems strong.. it’s nothing like kirishima’s knife hands. A few subtle hits to the weapon and its once again shattered into the wind from where it came. So you could expect it not to preform well in the case of battle.

‹ | 𓏭 she inferred that was the reason she had been placed with other blacksmiths in the Corse. Had been taking on weapon engineering at the early age of twelve, Hajime improved her skills when working on other blades.

‹ | 𓏭 Making the best of her non impressive Quirk, the girl works out excessively. If not a strong add on, one must hone a strong body. If there ever were a chance in the upper classes.. Shimoda would snatch it instantly.

‹ | 𓏭 Drawbacks of her quirk do include unwanted dirt and dust in tight crevasses of her body.. sort of acting as a very strong magnet on the beach.

‹ | 𓏭 scarily dry skin, eyes, and nostrils are also downfalls.

ଽ ⇛ For starters, hajime’s father is an American airline pilot. And she is an only child, so time spent at home was commonly alone.. and fighting to keep up with responsibility.

ଽ ⇛ Hajime’s father and mother had been going through a rough patch in their relationship when her mom became pregnant. It’s hard to grow a child and keep a tidy home all while your husband is away flying over some rice field. (See what I did there with the name ;))

ଽ ⇛ Which is exactly what he was doing the day his wife gave birth, and fled the continent. Coming home to a single note on the fridge, and little brunette baby in a bassinet.

ଽ ⇛ She couldn’t take it any longer. The constant stress and knowing that very soon it would not just be her and her husband any longer. So, Ms.Shimoda left. A completely selfish thing to do. But surprisingly, her ex husband didn’t mind. This, this child, was a fresh new beginning (hence her name) for him. Something that could be brought up completely new, innocent and with no past experiences.

ଽ ⇛ He decided it best to take work leave for the first two years of little hajime’s life, working jobs at sports centers mainly. There’s a special bond between single dad and daughter. She grew up quite rough and tough, for the first few years spending all her time with not a single female roll model.

ଽ ⇛ I’m sure you can guess what life was like for them, but I’ll give you insight nevertheless. School was interesting.. hajime attended kindergarten at six years old (her father not wanting to part at five) and had an extremely hard time getting along with her female classmates, to be expected. The boys, however, she most usually played baseball or ‘wrestle’ with them, on the playground.

ଽ ⇛ time spent alone with her father from ages 8-13 were always a favorite. Often going out when he was home, and aiding him on spotting out lovely ladies. Possibly where her sexuality manifested...

ଽ ⇛ her quirk was founded late one night whilst working in her dad’s engine shop. When not away flying, Shimoda’s father would teach her all there was to know on flight engines and such. That’s also where she got her spark for mechanics.

{short quirk story!} *•.•*•..•

As her ‘Papa’ sawed away at some poor innocent wooden plank, hajime sat entranced at four years old, with the various cedar dirt particles dancing about the air. Her itty bitty fingers went opened to snatch some from the air behind his head, but instead of grabbing them, the molecules dashed straight onto her index.

They began to pile up dramatically, after a few short minutes taking up the shape of a Swiss Army knife? A pathetic blade, but a blade nevertheless.

“Uhm.. pa..?” When her dad hadn’t answered, Shimoda reached out to him, fracturing the small knife in process. Leaving but a prick on his shoulder.

The loud cutting came to a halt as her father whipped around and saw his precious baby girl in tears. She was absolutely everything to him, since his wife left them four years ago. All this time coming home to her little smile , and teaching her softball, and eventually leaving again.. all he had left.

“What is it, Ime?!”

“Your dust attacked my finger! Then it made me cut you.. I’m sorry papa.” Her voice peaked towards the end, but Hajime’s dad just scooped her up and took the small thing inside.

Later that night the two experimented with her quirk. Just laughing through it all. This was why they had such a strong bond. Hajime was the only one he had, and he was the only one she could ever go to. Consequently why she had such a hard time making friends, her Pops was the only friend she’d ever need. Not to mention MAN.

ଽ ⇛ So yes. Youth was a time to treasure. Up until she was left to be fully self sufficient. No, her father hadn’t ed away, but he got transferred to a new airline company. Now needing to take many more flights. Leaving his little girl (not so little anymore, more like 14) to her own devices.

ଽ ⇛ Now days were made up of cooking for herself, cleaning after herself, working non stop hours at the subpar Automotive repair shop next door. Little time was spent training her quirk... If she had more experience with it, maybe she wouldn’t have just landed the Corse.

ଽ ⇛ lonely, long nights of pure and worn out sleep. Then even longer days of buckle binding work. But no matter what, Hajime would go on to convince herself that with this experience, and now UA, her spot beside those big inventors was wide open.

‹ | 𓏭 Hajime grew up a hardcore softball player! Which drew her to be extremely upset when she found out UA didn’t have a team.. :(

‹ | 𓏭 so we all know this girly is part of the alphabet mafia, right? Weellll.. she might just maybe have a little thing for miss Mei Hatsume :flushed:

‹ | 𓏭 she spent an entire seventh summer stressed out over how she would rebel against this one teacher. Knowing nothing of how to be anything but quiet and modest.

‹ | 𓏭 all her life, Shimoda’s hair has been cut short by her father, notice the terribly done jagged bangs. Short so that he would be able to brush it and keep it down. The man’s had no idea how to teach, or style female hair. Now she continues to keep it short and down.

‹ | 𓏭 Hajime’s favorite movie is shockingly Rapunzel, it was the only Disney movie she was raised around. Plus she always thought Mother Gawfle was pretty.

‹ | 𓏭 the girl’s dorm is a sad excuse of modern. Frail black and blue Christmas lights outlining the window, navy blue bed spread, and mahogany desk that her and Mei crafted one day bored in class.

‹ | 𓏭 she’ll always get the urge to stop and talk with Yaomomo, knowing her quirk was so similar and jaw dropping on her part.

‹ | 𓏭 the dry lips and nose are a complete burden. But, there are ways she’s found to avoid them! One of those compartments in that desk holds loads upon loads of vaseline. I’m a bit worried she’s grown an addiction...

‹ | 𓏭 The one time Mei called her ‘Ime’ like her dad does, girl flipped out. Never ever one to get easily upset, Hatsume was shocked. But laughed quite quickly after seeing her reaction. Now she is forced to be called Moda, instead.

‹ | 𓏭 a ‘relaxing’ night for Shimoda would include frantically looking for girly supplies, not owning a single one, and eventually giving up to eat overly salted food while reading sad novels.

‹ | 𓏭 occasionally, when feeling super self conscious about her body and eyes. Unlike other girls (who get all glammed up) Moda will force herself into a competitive soccer game. Forgetting all the mean comments and anxiety. Just letting the frustration flow. A beast on the field, a mouse off of it.

‹ | 𓏭 you’d think a girl raised solely by men would be tougher, colder? But nope. Being stuck at home by yourself constantly causes major social anxiety and a bit of trust issues, not to mention being an extreme shut in.

‹ | 𓏭 this girl has got an insane bracelet collection! Every friend, weather it be a small friend or best one, she made a wrist band for.. maybe just something to remind herself of them, knowing from an early age that people can leave just as fast as they came.

‹ | 𓏭 I just know that if Ime were in 1-A, she’d be close buds with Tokoyami. They’re both the quiet loner type, who secretly need affections!
