I finally saw this movie today, (yeah, yeah I know)and….i actually didn’t hate it. So it wasn’t the best thing in the world but I had a good time.
I’m going to say it didn’t feel like a remake but it felt like another movie just based on story. The addition of the seven bandits and changing the prince into a thief just made it feel like a different take on the tale.
I loved the new songs. “Waiting on a Wish” is my favorite and I totally need to get the soundtrack. I also loved the new version of Heigh Ho that was longer.
One thing I didn’t like was Dopey talking. I saw this movie with my friend and she muttered to herself “gross” when he started to talk. Well I heard he was going to talk but I was expecting like one line at the end or something like in the stage musical. If it was that I would have been okay but having him speak so eloquently was just off putting.
