Hey whats up loopy lucies. Fern is here with another sPoOkY pOsT. This will just be me rambling about a minecraft halloween update which I remind you, ISNT CONFIRMED/REAL. Its a discussion, not a news report. Also this would be halloween themed because this is a MCAdvent Calendar Special post :D ||𝙹⚍∷ ,Anyways, lets jump right in.

Also I just wanted to keep this post short. I had so much to discuss but I just kind of had to pick three because I dont want you guys to do be having to go through that :joy: .

Just a note:

I know that the last time I talked about a minecraft update discussion (Herobrine post) is that I leaned towards a modding possibility instead of fitting and considering minecraft's updating style and methods. So hopefully I dont go too crazy this time lol (no promises :joy: 🤫). Also this is like a 'if I could change minecraft on halloween for a day' so I went in to focus on the halloween/spooky aspect specifically.

Pumpkins Can Be Relevant

Top 10 things Minecrafters didnt know: Pumpkins are in minecraft. Okay thats overdoing it :joy: but the point is that pumpkins in minecraft dont have much use or didnt as used much as the others. Eℸ ̣ ᒷ∷リᔑꖎ ,Yes sure, its needed for golem creation, trading and to avoid endermen hostility but honestly I think it can be so much more.

Pumpkins can already be jack o' lanterns but doesnt that scream for expandable routes? Maybe you can use different mob heads and materials for different carving shapes? Stained glass for different colours? Signs for carved messages? Theres so much possibilities. You can even have a very special and specific carving, and arranged in a summoning form can bring a new boss(es) in the game!

Special effects can be interesting too. Jack O' Lanterns are traditionally used to keep evil spirits away. Maybe just for halloween, jack o' lanterns can be used as a mystical repellent for mobs like zombies and skeletons, maybe even phantoms but not all of them like creepers and enderman because that'd be too op lol.

Season Appreciation

Minecraft can feel a little stationary, at times. Its part of the charm I guess but I honestly love the idea of a season exclusive event. Trees would look more orange, plains just has planted pumpkins seeds or a load of it spawning, the sky would look darker that you can barely see the clouds and the luminating moon, heck you can even think of turning the difficulty way up: mobs would be everywhere, all of it just for a single night, maybe a slightly longer night since a minecraft evening is like 5 minutes :joy: .

Maybe even doing something silly like adding a new addition to the traditional mob textures where they would have costumes or something. If we are thinking about it in a long run, minecraft can add new generated structures: maybe a cottage deep in a dark forest with a small pumpkin farm where the villager (a special kind) only specifically buys pumpkin and pumpkin seeds which encourages players to do a bit of farming variety and into the trading society but isnt too forceful and is just there if you want it or not. Its a necessity, there for people who's into to it.

Dont Have To Do Research

As much as I love the minecraft community looking out for each other by providing accurate information on wiki pages or doing a tutorial video on how and why you should do stuff in minecraft. I know people need it and people love to do research. I personally think that there is this magical feeling where you find things for yourself. Now dont take this the wrong way, Im not shaming or encouraging anyone to not do research if you want to towards the game because I certainly did but just hear me out.

Instead of finding out that the stronghold exists through "Top 10 things you need to know when you're new" type of video. How about you hear about it on a broken down building through someone's journal, that there is this safe place out there from eminent threats and all you have to do is follow the eyes. Or maybe a carving in a cave thats ressembling to the wither and how they are almost warning anyone who's reading it. Hᔑ!¡!¡╎リᒷᓭᓭ ,Because for me personally, even though its a sandbox game where creativity can shine at its fullest, there is a story behind that face that not many touch on.

I dont know about you guys but if I saw that in a cave in my first game. I would get chills :joy: :neutral_face: .

My idea is a new event/mob and enchantment to be added into the game (they all tie together). Through a thunderstorm during the night, a player is walking through the plains. Suddenly, lightning strikes and a single skeleton jockey spawns, or so it seems. The bones are black like a wither skeleton and it’s head is a glowing jack O lantern, glowing with more animation and more ominously. He is wearing black leather (or iron armor). And is holding an enchanted axe. He deals more damage and is faster than ordinary jockeys. Once you kill him, he has a chance to drop his axe, which has the enchantment Executioner. The axe can either be gold or iron and the only way to legitimately obtain an executioner enchantment is on an axe dropped by the headless horseman. The enchantment (which has three levels) will increase chance of mobs that can drop skulls to drop them. Lastly I think if you have insomnia and/ bad omen effect it’ll be more likely to spawn.

The jack o' lantern, black bones singular skeleton jockey reminds me the white pumpkin lol, especially due to the enchanted axe too. Your ideas are interesting! :grinning: :+1:

I think that Minecraft should update itself on every seasonal event, like the April fool's tweaks, but have much more to it.

In my opinion, dead trees could be a naturally occurring structure. Around the dead tree has a higher pumpkin patch spawn percentage, and the mobs around the dead tree appear more often.

Basically a dead bush but it's like, godzilla version.

Mention: dead tree realms could be a thing. Heavy mist surrounds the player, and naturally occurring haunted houses appear only in that biome. (check the Lost Woods in legend of zelda:BOTW for an actual picture of the biome)

Another mention, halloween mobs should also be a thing. Although it's not really fair to design a model for a mob every seasonal event, i believe Mojang could do it. Maybe, the Headless horseman or the Reaper.

What if gravestones were a thing? Maybe it could take the shape of stone bricks, like silverfish hatches . The stone bricks could have a faint "+" on it, representing the common insignia on the everyday gravestone. These blocks could hatch a skelly or a zombie, unless destroyed by a silk touch pickaxe.

Halloween biomes could have monster death animations, like ghosts flying onto the sky or leaving remaining dead bodys.

The wither should have more attacks other than the simpleton heads. Maybe it has a scary flyby, like the guardian fatigue effect that appears on your screen, or growing hands when it health depletes to a certain extent, it can grow arms and have a meelee attack. Every little detail that helps, helps.
