Aerosol can refiller

So i had an empty can of brake cleaner that i wanted to throw away but just moments before doing it i asked myself if i can refill it. I knew there was no problem in refilling the air but the liquid is a whole different story.

So i looked at some videos on YouTube and all were pretty much about repressurizing them. Except one. The YouTuber big clive showed how to fill it with a syringe. So i grabbed a syringe. Oh god it was so slow. So i came up with this idea to use some sort of air lubrication system but i didn't have one.

So i decided to make my own. Sorta. So i took a cup shaped piece of metal and a piece that mached the diameter of the cup. I drilled and tapped two 1/2" npt threads and one m8 thread. I welded a cupple of nuts together as i didn't have any pipe. Next i welded the homemade pipe to the top.

Next i welded the top part to the cup with my tig welder.(don't judge i'm a beginner :joy: )

Next i added teflon tape to the air connectors so all is air tight. I also wrapped a bit around the m8 bolt.

Next for the aerosol to hose adapter i used a useless connector that was laying around. I enlargened the hole to 3.5 mm so it would fit.

this is a connector for a standard tyre filler gun.

That is it!

And next all i had to do was test it. So i opened the m8 for letting the air out while filling through the air connector. After the refiller was full of water i closed the m8 bolt. I connected the air gun and aerosol adapter to one connector and the air hose to the other connector.

success! I filled the aerosol up to 1/2 until i had to go somewhere but still it works! :grin:
